Story
This sweet girl came to us as a foster until she can find a good home! She loves to play with other dogs and tennis balls especially racquet balls. A good play session in the morning is followed by crashing out for hours napping. She is potty trained and knows basic commands. She would just love a house with other dogs to play with and run around outside.

Story
Spuds is a long legged lemon beagle/lab mix, 7 years old and 40-45 lbs.  He's got a stubbed tail - shelter thought he had some cocker spaniel in him - we don't see it. He has developed some great friendships with other B&B dogs - might help if he was adopted with one of those companions. Very selective of his people - not good with strangers. He will bite. But with the right people, he's a good boy- friendly, loves cuddles, mingles well with other dogs, runs around the yard, and follows his people obediently.  Does well on a leash.  Here's how he likes to learn to trust:  Someone come very frequently and spend 15+ minutes with him - less in the beginning.  Check in with him - go volunteer with another dog or other task - and then back to him.  Repeat this often and until he is happy to see you.  That is how he learned to LOVE us here.  We rescue a fair number of very shy, unsocialized dogs - they can heal - if we, the people, don't mess it up.  We use the help of a terrific trainer/dog whisperer - terristeuben.com Please find our applications and valuable information under  'Adopt a dog'* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. Please allow us up to a week to get back to you. Most appointments will be Friday-Sunday, 10 am - 2 pm, for an hour. *Note bring any other dog/s and the entire family to your meet and greet at B&B.* A complimentary training manual is included with each adoption, authored by terristeuben.com. Check out her website - she is fabulous! B&B is glad to be open during the pandemic. We know the value and comfort of a loving pet companion and are doing our best to help the dogs and folks who need them. We update our website daily and are always rescuing, vetting, rehabilitating, socializing. * We are accepting applications for volunteers to spend time with our dogs, hang out, sing/read to the shy ones, walk/toss ball with those who go to the playgrounds; cleaning, office work, gardening, and building/repair projects! *   *Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available. For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!  Sponsor Me Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Your tax-deductible donation keeps our rescue kennel operating!  Hours Friday:  10 am to 3 pm Saturday:  10 am to 3 pm Sunday: 10 am to 3 pm Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: CLOSED Wednesday: CLOSED Thursday: CLOSED &#226&#128&#139 Weekday appointments may be available.  We are a small staff and do our best to accommodate your needs. **Note that during COVID, we are not holding open houses on any day. Story
Max Lucas is 10 years old and 30 lbs.  His eyes are hazel. Walks well on a leash and enjoys his walks. He exercises well with most dogs in his area. He came in a few years ago after having had a couple snapping incidents in a foster home. So he will need patience and time to adjust in a new home.  We've worked with him and he has mellowed a lot. He is food motivated - and so he will love anyone that gives him treats!  Go slow and don't surprise him - he does guard his food. So feed separately from other dog/s and watch picking food up or moving it while near him.   He is well worth the investment to help him relax and trust people.  *Note bring any other dog/s and the entire family to your meet and greet at B&B.* *Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available.
