I'm a 14-year-old Beagle mix. I was rescued from the county shelter 10 years ago and adopted 10 years ago as well. Sadly, I was recently found as a stray and, thanks to my microchip, found my way back to Carrie On Rescue. Despite many attempts on behalf of the rescue to contact my family, they never responded. At first, I was very sad and unsure why they did not come for me, but that is behind me now and I am looking forward to a great future. I'm the sweetest, most loving boy. I have a spring in my step and love living life in my golden years. I get along great with everyone I meet. I am house trained, quiet, gentle - a true gentleman. I get along well with the other dogs in my foster home. My favorite food is Caesar with chicken. While I'm an indoor dog, I need a home with a safely fenced yard. I walk very well on the leash and enjoy car rides, too. If you are looking for an amazing doggie companion who will love you with all of his heart, look no further. Adopt me, Fred! Meet Pete! Pete was rescued from the west county shelter. We don’t know much about his life before the shelter but we do know that he came in with a friend. When his friend was added to the euthanasia list (due to being stressed in the shelter environment) she was saved but that meant he was left on his own. He, too, became stressed and it was a matter of time before he landed on the euthanasia list as well. Fortunately he was saved, too. Now, Pete is looking for a foster or a forever home. He’s said to be 2 years old and at 33lbs appears to be quite the mix — possibly beagle / basset hound / pittie mix. While he may be small in size, he more than makes up for it in personality. Pete had been staying with a dog trainer that was helping Pete build his trust in people. He’s come a long way and the trainer believes he’s now ready for the next chapter in his life. The trainer could even facilitate his move into his new home, too — making sure it’s a good mutual fit for all involved. Pete does well with men and women — and gets along with dogs of all sizes. Of course, a meet and greet will best determine how he is with the people / pets of prospective fosters / adopters. He’d do best in a patient home with an experienced foster / adopter that will continue to reinforce what the trainer has taught him. All this boy wants is to be someone’s loyal, faithful friend — and is waiting to meet YOU!

Since coming into our care, Riley has continued to come out of her shell and make improvements with her socialization.
