This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cin c innati, Lexington KY, or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225 . We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away! I am ready when you are, do your stuff so we can ride off into the sunset, in air conditioning, of course! Animal Profile: Chai is a sweet beagle mix that was found as a baby in Del Rio, TX. We love her unique, hairless muzzle because it's a sign of all she went through. Chai was very sick with puppy strangles, but she survived and is now thriving in her foster home. She can be a little unsure about new things, but with a little help from her furry friends and foster parents, she is learning that the world is a wonderful place! Chai would do best in a home outside the city as she will be overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle. She would love her own fenced yard, and needs at least one other dog in her forever home. Foster Update: Chai is a little love bug! She quickly made friends with the resident dogs in her foster home, and will follow wherever they go. She plays with her paws like a little cat, and snuggles up like one too. Chai can be a little unsure about new places, but she has been learning that things are not so bad here in Washington. She has had a chance to explore lush green gardens, sandy beaches, and seems to enjoy a good car ride. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
