Story
Hi I'm Lola! I'm about 2 years old and I am just the sweetest little wiggly girl ever. I had babies that were taken away from me after they found me wandering the streets extremely skinny, so I was very depressed in the shelter and stopped eating until my foster mama got me! The second I got to her house I ate 2 bowls of food and was so happy to be safe I rolled over and had the best belly rubs. I am spayed, microchipped and I have no aggressions over food or toys. I will always greet you with my wiggles, kisses and my big smile. I love cuddling, soft blankets, treats, meeting new dogs and a good toy to chew on. When I run or get excited I hop like a bunny and it is the cutest thing ever. I love to get the zoomies and hop around then cuddle with my foster mom for hours. I haven't met a cat yet, but I have loved the kids I have met. I had puppies before I was rescued so any small dog or child I like to treat as my own :) All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bix was returned to us through no fault of her own, as their circumstances have changed and they could no longer care for her. She is back with the foster who pulled her fro Dallas Animal Services in late 2022.  The adopter reported instances of aggression and resource guarding, but she has been on her best behavior since arriving back in Dallas.  We had her evaluated by a trainer, who reports that she is a dominant personality who needs consistent reinforcement of her place in the hierarchy.  The foster reports that she is smart and knows basic commands. She can be pushy, but takes correction well.  She is high energy, loves to play with the other dogs in the household and is very affectionate. She is leash trained, crate trained and housebroken, up to date on shots and heart worm negative.  She will do well with an experienced owner and the rescue will include a session with the trainer to teach the new owner techniques for avoiding issues. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. After reading our adoption information, if you are ready to take the next steps, please fill out the ADOPTION APPLICATION. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Scooter is such a sweetie!  He is doing well in the foster home.  He is fully vetted and has been well cared for - sadly his owners could not care for him any longer and they made the tough decision to give him up.  We will find the perfect fur-ever home for this boy.   Scooter is a lovable and charming boy with a playful side. He loves snuggling on the couch with his humans and enjoys a good game of fetch or tug-of-war with his toys. When he's craving attention, he’s not shy about speaking up, guiding you to whatever he desires—whether it’s a toy, treat, or even a walk around the block. During the day, he likes to sit by the front window, observing the cars, dogs, and kids passing by. Scooter is a smart dog who’s learned to use the dog door, but he’s also trained to ring a bell when he needs to go outside. He gets along well with medium to large dogs, though his interactions with cats and smaller dogs are unknown. While he’s making great strides in his training, there are a few behavioral quirks we're working on. If he’s resting near his human and they move or touch him, he will startle and bark, so we gently speak to him before we make a move. Scooter is also not fond of nail trims, ear cleanings, or having his nose touched, and he requires a moderate sedative for these vet visits. Despite these challenges, the vet has seen significant improvement in his behavior. Scooter will thrive best with a patient and understanding owner who can continue to work with him, helping him to build on his progress.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. After reading our adoption information, if you are ready to take the next steps, please fill out the ADOPTION APPLICATION.
