That makes him a Bagle Hound! What’s better than a basset that doesn’t drag their ears thru their water bowl? Harvey is about 2 years old and super people friendly and has been around an 8 year old without issue. Due to his weight (45 lbs) he should be monitored around younger kids as he’s likely to sit on them. He rarely barks (haven’t heard a howl yet) and prefers to snuggle at night but will sleep in his crate without fuss. He walks well on a leash without pulling and hasn’t shown much interest in squirrels or birds. His favorite toys squeak and he doesn’t chew them up! Car rides are best in a back seat as he would prefer to ride in the drivers lap. He knows how to use a dog door too. Harvey would love a playful furry sibling. He’s fine with small or larger dogs. Meet Rory! A big personality in a small package, she came to DFW Beagle Buddies from the Longview shelter. She had 5 puppies - adorable little scruffy babies - who went with another rescue. She is SO SWEET and is a little lover. She loves to cuddle, give kisses, be mischievous, and loves playing with other dogs. She is a lovely little girl who will need a home that is willing to help her become a well-trained house dog - she's getting the hang of it in her foster home, but isn't quite used to it just yet! She will do best with a canine playmate and a backyard. Rory has a ton of love to give and would be a great family dog. She gets along with other dogs of all sizes and never meets a stranger. Hi everybody! I’m Travis, and I might just be the sweetest beagle you ever meet. I came to Beagle Buddies from the Canton shelter with my pregnant companion, Taylor. I’ve had my vaccines, been neutered, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms - so I’m all ready to find my new home! When I first arrived, I was a little shy and confused - I didn’t even know what a dog treat was. I do now, though! I’ve also learned how to go into my crate when my foster people leave, and I’m really good at the doggy door - although I’m still not quite perfect about using it every time I need to potty. I’m getting there. The rescue thinks I’m pretty young - maybe around 2 years old, so I do have a lot of energy. A home with a canine sibling would be ideal for me so that I have someone to play with - I love playing with my dog sisters. I am also happy to sit by your feet for hours while you pet my head. And because I’m still young, I occasionally like to get into a little bit of mischief like stealing your slippers, but I’m so cute, no one can stay mad at me.
