Story
This sweet girl is an owner surrender. We are thinking she maybe a Basset/German shorthair Pointer mix. She may get to 40 to 45 lbs when full grown. She visited our wonderful vet for shots and a spay, so she is all set as for her vetting. She loves going to the dog park and becomes a little more social at each venture there. She is house trained and has not had a single accident in her foster's house. She walks well on a leash and loves to be taken on paths at the local park. She prefers having a harness while on the leash. She plays fetch with tennis balls and some toys too. As she is still a puppy, she sometimes gets a bit excited and jumps up when greeting someone; her foster is working with her on that and says she settles down if you pet her. She will sit or speak if a treat is involved. She's learning that it's not ok to play bite hard. Belle settles down quickly for bedtime. She will be a great family dog for an active family that loves walks, playing fetch, and visiting do

Story
Sunny Sides, a Basset Hound mix, was found tied to a fence at an apartment complex and though she had a microchip, the person it was registered to did not want her back. So, we took her in to our vet to be given basic veterinary care, along with having her evaluated for a suspected urinary tract infection. She was having to go potty constantly, and there was blood present. Our vet did an x-ray and the reason for her discomfort and frequent urination became apparent. This poor senior’s bladder was absolutely full or bladder stones! We raised the funds for this very necessary surgery, and numerous bladder stones were removed. Throughout it all Sunny Sides, who is around 12 years old, has been a complete sweetheart and a very easy going foster. She gets along with all the dogs her foster mom has of various ages and sizes, and she doesn’t have any issues with cats. She will need to remain on a prescription urinary diet for the rest of her life, but she is otherwise completely healthy and ready to find a forever that really means forever. Her foster mom named her Sunny Sides because of her positive disposition-she looks at the sunny side of things and she deserves a sunny side of life from here on out. Austin metro, TX area adoptions preferred. Her adoption fee includes vet exam, vaccines, medications, and microchip.

Story
**Meet Belle!** This sweet girl is an owner surrender and may be a Basselier (Basset Hound and King Charles Spaniel mix) expected to grow to 40-45 lbs. Belle has already been spayed and vaccinated, so she's ready for her new home! She loves the dog park and is becoming more social with each visit. House-trained and accident-free in her foster home, she walks well on a leash-preferring a harness for those local park strolls. Belle enjoys playing fetch, though she sometimes gets a bit excited when greeting people. With a little guidance, she settles down quickly! She'll sit or speak for treats and is learning gentle play.
