Story
You gotta love this senior!! - SUNNY SIDES got her name as she is so positive and happy despite her ordeal. This hound mix is bursting with love despite her previous living conditions. Sunny side was found tied to a fence and had a bladder full of stones. She has had the necessary surgery to remove the stones and recovered well. She is on a prescription urinary diet, but no longer suffers from bladder incontinence and takes no other medications. She is nearing 13 years old, around 25 lbs, is fully house broken and manages to get those stubby little legs through the dog door. She would love nothing more than to be your best friend. She loves milling around the neighborhood investigating scent trails. Sunny Sides walks very leisurely on a leash, but she is vocal when she sees other dogs. She is a hound after all! She is passionate about being by her human’s side for a good long snuggle. Sunny Sides gets along with other dogs in her foster home and is up to date on her vaccinations and heartworm prevention medication. We pray hard that she won't be in foster care for very much longer. She's been with us for at least 6 months. Please give this senior the love and security she deserves for the rest of her life. Her adoption fee is $250 and includes the vet exam, vaccinations, rabies and tick prevention, microchip, heartworm test and preventatives.

Story
Meet Meatball, an adorable pup who’s stealing hearts with his charm. We think he may have some Basset Hound in him—a breed known for being sweet-tempered, affectionate, and gentle. Meatball is quickly making doggy friends here at the Refuge. We believe that this handsome, happy guy can be a wonderful companion for an active human or family. Meatball makes a small play move to show newcomer Crumb that he wants to be friends: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tADIcZSOwFM&pp=0gcJCeAJAYcqIYzv To set up a no-obligation "meet and greet" with Meatball, please go to wimberleywagrescue.org and fill out an application.

Story
At 3.5 pounds and 8 weeks, both Ginger and Sugar ,tiny hound sisters, are ready to steal hearts. Their mama is a tiny hound with super short legs who appears to be a dachshund. The girls look just like mama! Mama and puppies were rescued a month ago from a shelter in south Texas after their owner passed away. Since then, the girls and mama have been thriving at their foster home . Both pups love to run and play! Sugar is more reserved and loves to pose for pictures! Ginger is more spicy and loves the big dogs at her foster home! Both girls are working on potty training and learning to not chew on belongings
