Story
Are you looking for a snuggly best friend? Miss Jolene is a very loving girl looking for a home! She loves toys, snuggling, and snacks!  As a basset, she has a very strong sense of smell and her nose can get her in to trouble if she catches a wiff of food!  At 6 months old, she is still a puppy and learning manners, but promises she's working very hard at it!  Good with other dogs and kids. NO CATS.  ##2290634##

Story
Hi, I’m Desi! Will You Be My Forever Family? Hey there, future best friend! My name is Desi, and I’m a 1-year-old 42lb Basset Hound Catahoula Leopard mix with short legs, beautiful eyes, and an even bigger heart! I’ve got the perfect balance of playful energy and expert-level snuggling—I love going on walks, romping around with my dog friends, and then curling up on the couch with my favorite humans. A Little Bit About Me: I’m great with kids and would love a family to play with! I get along wonderfully with other dogs—I’d love a furry sibling, but I’d be just as happy soaking up all your attention too! I’m house-trained and crate-trained (yep, I know where to do my business!). I know how to sit like a pro, but I’m still working on my big pup manners—sometimes I get a little too excited and jump or give playful nibbles. I’m very food-motivated (treats are my love language!), so training me will be fun and easy. But don’t worry—I’m not food aggressive at all! I’d love to find an active person or family who will take me on adventures, give me belly rubs, and help me continue learning. If you’ve been looking for a goofy, loving, and loyal pup, I think we’d be a perfect match! I can’t wait to meet you—let’s be best friends forever! Desi will be available for adoption thru Paws Across Pittsburgh on or after February 2nd, 2025. If Desi seems like he would be a good fit for your family apply today at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt Paws Across Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA 15144 KL#16182 ##2290500##

Story
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ORVILLE, PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE TO READ ABOUT THE PROCESS AND FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. www.furkidrescue.org Orville was rescued by a good Samaritan in Arkansas, when he was founded at an abandoned home. He was underweight, covered in fleas and ticks, and very weak. Once we got him to our vet we found that he was anemic, the fleas had sucked all of his blood. He is also heartworm positive, and he’s started the beginning of heartworm treatment. He’s feeling so much better and is on the path to good health! Orville is feeling better now, and his personality has started to show. He shows signs of being abused. He is not going to be a good first dog for someone, and he will need someone who’s dog savvy, and will give him space to settle in his environment.
