Story
That sweet, squishable face belongs to Curly, a calm, loving, easy-going little guy with a huge heart and the cutest curly tail. So lovey, people friendly, good with dogs and cats, a great companion dog!! Curly is around 1 year old, and we suspect him to be a hound mix of some sort. He has a looooong body, short legs with feet that splay out and the cutest underbite with yellow golden eyes. Curly weighs in around 56 pounds right now, tiny but beefy with his short little legs! A “small” big dog, the perfect size for couch snuggles. Watch Curly here: https://youtu.be/q-rVyKmqBMY?si=OZQzq6i2dbCA6aI6 Curly is a charmer to his core, he’s so so loving and people-friendly, he has the cutest little underbite and he’s so engaging with humans. Curly opens up quickly with new humans, he will ask just about anyone for belly rubs. I just know that it will be “love at first sight” for him the moment he meets his forever family. He’s super affectionate, but not overly pushy about it, and doesn’t jump up for pets. He’s such a good boy! Here at the rescue, Curly has made friends with kids aged 3-13. He’s gentle, sweet and patient with all of them! See Curly interact with kids for yourself in his video. Curly did well meeting other dogs here at the rescue, and currently lives in a foster home with multiple other dogs. He gets along well with all that he meets, and he’s loving and sweet with other dogs. Curly is all about sweet puppy kisses, and going with the flow. Curly plays with his foster doggy-sister every day and would likely do well in a home with another moderately playful dog to keep him company. Here at the rescue, Curly was cat tested by our behavior team. He did really well meeting our house cat Tom, he was unfazed by him and quickly shifted his focus back to his people. Our behavior team recommends Curly for a home with dog-savvy cats! Curly is new to all the luxury a life with loving humans can afford. So far, he does well in the car, and does well in the house. He has great house manners, and doesn’t have accidents indoors in his foster home, or at the rescue. He’s still learning how to walk on leash, but he’s great about checking in with his people, and doesn’t bark at other dogs while he’s on leash. With consistent training, Curly could learn to love the leash. For the time being, we do recommend Curly for a home with a fenced yard, so that potty breaks aren’t too stressful. Curly’s perfect home has at least one loving human, and another dog to keep him company, but he’s not too picky about the rest. Curly could live with kitties, and would love a couch to curl up on. This sweet boy will make such a wonderful companion, he’s an easy-going boy, and sooo loving. Curly will bring so much joy into your life. We are willing to test him with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen- just let us know. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco  • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Hi! I’m Eleanor Roosevelt, but everyone calls me Ellie! I’m looking for my someone special to help me make a new family. I really love having a home with a brother or sister dog and a person (or a few people) to love me and help me feel safe and loved. I used to have that, but something went wrong between my people (divorce) and I’ve had to move around quite a bit lately… I’m not sure what my place is. I have love in my heart and no one to give it to. It makes me anxious. When I’m anxious I bark more than usual. Sometimes that upsets the people. I like playing with toys, sleeping on beds with my people, zooming around a fenced yard with a friendly dog or two, and never being in a crate. Those crates are not for me! Going for rides in the car is fun, and I’m a good girl on the leash. In fact, I really love going on walks! I’m a healthy girl, 6yrs old around 29lbs. My only issue has been an occasional ear that acts up and needs stuff squirted in. I worry when I go to the vet; whine and feel scared, so I usually have medicine to relax a little. I can’t wait to be home with my new family. ** Ellie is a sweet, clever girl who needs a loving, patient home to settle in to and feel secure again. Her world has been unsettled for a while now and when she finds that forever home waiting for her, those people will feel like the lucky ones. Adoption application can be found here: https://www.cascaderescue.org/adoption-application/ For additional information on Ellie, contact Kappy Hodges at kapppy@cascaderescue.org.

Story
Arlo here! I'm a fun-loving, friendly, and athletic pup, and I'm looking for my furever home. I'm a smart boy who learned how to be housebroken when I was young, and I've got my humans wrapped around my paw. I get along great with kitties, other dogs and older kids (over 5) too. I'm an energetic fellow who would love a family that can take me on nice long walks and hikes in the park. If you think you can give me the good life I deserve, fill out an application for me today!
