Story
When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away! I am ready when you are, do your stuff so we can ride off into the sunset, in air conditioning, of course! Adoption application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/GDR/Dog Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Hello everyone! I'm Molly, a sweet 12-year-old Basset Hound weighing 75 pounds, and I'm looking for my forever home! I lived with another dog in my home but found that I prefer being the only pup. I've had some anxious moments and am on medication that helps. I've also had surgery on my back leg and take arthritis medication to keep me comfortable. I love walks and have a great sense of smell! While I enjoy meeting other dogs during walks, I can be protective at home. I've lived with older kids, but I'd be happiest in a home without little ones. I adore snuggling, exploring the yard, and basking in the sun. I'm super food motivated and hardly ever bark. Are you ready for your forever pup? I promise to fill your life with love and joy!

Story
That sweet, squishable face belongs to Curly, a calm, loving, easy-going little guy with a huge heart and the cutest curly tail. So lovey, people friendly, good with dogs and cats, a great companion dog!! Curly is around 1 year old, and we suspect him to be a hound mix of some sort. He has a looooong body, short legs with feet that splay out and the cutest underbite with yellow golden eyes. Curly weighs in around 56 pounds right now, tiny but beefy with his short little legs! A “small” big dog, the perfect size for couch snuggles. Watch Curly here: https://youtu.be/q-rVyKmqBMY?si=OZQzq6i2dbCA6aI6 Curly is a charmer to his core, he’s so so loving and people-friendly, he has the cutest little underbite and he’s so engaging with humans. Curly opens up quickly with new humans, he will ask just about anyone for belly rubs. I just know that it will be “love at first sight” for him the moment he meets his forever family. He’s super affectionate, but not overly pushy about it, and doesn’t jump up for pets. He’s such a good boy! Here at the rescue, Curly has made friends with kids aged 3-13. He’s gentle, sweet and patient with all of them! See Curly interact with kids for yourself in his video. Curly did well meeting other dogs here at the rescue, and currently lives in a foster home with multiple other dogs. He gets along well with all that he meets, and he’s loving and sweet with other dogs. Curly is all about sweet puppy kisses, and going with the flow. Curly plays with his foster doggy-sister every day and would likely do well in a home with another moderately playful dog to keep him company. Here at the rescue, Curly was cat tested by our behavior team. He did really well meeting our house cat Tom, he was unfazed by him and quickly shifted his focus back to his people. Our behavior team recommends Curly for a home with dog-savvy cats! Curly is new to all the luxury a life with loving humans can afford. So far, he does well in the car, and does well in the house. He has great house manners, and doesn’t have accidents indoors in his foster home, or at the rescue. He’s still learning how to walk on leash, but he’s great about checking in with his people, and doesn’t bark at other dogs while he’s on leash. With consistent training, Curly could learn to love the leash. For the time being, we do recommend Curly for a home with a fenced yard, so that potty breaks aren’t too stressful. Curly’s perfect home has at least one loving human, and another dog to keep him company, but he’s not too picky about the rest. Curly could live with kitties, and would love a couch to curl up on. This sweet boy will make such a wonderful companion, he’s an easy-going boy, and sooo loving. Curly will bring so much joy into your life. We are willing to test him with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen- just let us know. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco  • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
