Story
Sweet Miss Sophie is ready to be your bestie! Sophie is an absolutely adorable 5-month-old Basset Hound/Beagle mix. Her stunning white and brown coloring are as beautiful as her little spirit. Sophie was rescued in Aiken, South Carolina, and she is so ready to start her new adventure with you!
Sophie is a bouncy ball of joy, and she adores playing. Squeaking her toys and romping around with her canine friends are her favorite way to spend each day. She loves adventure and will always be ready to go. Running around in the yard, playing hide and seek, sharing secrets in tree houses—Sophie would make the most amazing best friend for any lucky kiddo. She will also happily tag along to brunch, run errands, go to food truck festivals, hike the trails, and let you win at every game night. Sophie is endlessly happy and ready to play, but she also adores her nap time and snuggles, so scooch over and make room in the bed.
Sophie would love a home with other dogs, cats, or kids. She is so ready to be the best decision you’ve ever made, so come meet her today and make Sophie your BFF!
Sophie's foster mom says, "This little gal is full of fun! She quite literally wears her heart on her belly with the cutest brown heart shaped spot. She is crazy about our baby and snuggles with her humans after spending her morning sniffing on walks and running around in the fenced-yard with our dog. She does great in a crate when we need to run errands and at night. In the morning she loves to tunnel through the blankets on our bed and nap at our feet. She's working diligently on housebreaking and is doing so well for her young age. She is the ultimate wing woman to kids, dogs, and adults alike. She also loves cruising in the car and looking out the world go by out her window!"
Sophie is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life!
