She’s waited far too long for a girl this special. At 2 years old and 28 pounds, Gypsy is a delightful blend of Cattle Dog smarts and Basset Hound charm — think low-rider body, big-dog energy, and a personality that could light up a room. She’s basically the off-road model of a best friend: compact, sturdy, and always ready for an adventure. Gypsy LOVES her walks and is getting better and better on leash every day. She’s happiest when she’s outside, exploring the yard, supervising chores, or keeping an eye out for squirrels (her self-appointed job, and she takes it very seriously). When playtime winds down, she’s just as content following her favorite human around like a loyal little shadow. She’s playful, affectionate, and full of goofy charm. Toys are fun. Shoelaces are very intriguing. And her signature low-rider zoomies? Ruby is great with kids, gets along well with other dogs, and is also good with cats—making her a wonderful fit for a family home. About Ruby: 4 years old Purebred Basset Hound Very friendly and affectionate Great with kids Good with other dogs Good with cats Important to Know: Ruby has been an outside dog, so we are unsure if she is housebroken. She may need patience and training if transitioning to indoor living. She does not stay contained by an electric fence and will roam if given the opportunity. Because of this, she needs a home where she is indoors or closely supervised, or has a secure physical fence. Ruby also has a strong prey drive and cannot be in a home with chickens or small livestock. She loves being around people and would thrive as a companion dog with a family who can give her time and attention.
