Story
Our Lanky guy is house trained, crate trained, loves playing tug-of-war with ropes and his blue ring. He loves belly rubs and snuggles. While he okay with other dogs and cats he takes a bit to be fully comfortable. He’s enjoys kids that are old enough to play or give him attention but we are finding that babies steal too much of the attention he is used to having and that is causing the pain point for us. He does like to bark at animals outside but that can be controlled with treats/positive reinforcement. He does really well with training. He can do the basics: sit, lie down, stay, paw. He will also do a spin and he used to do roll over, but it’s been a while since we practiced that. We are sad to be rehoming, but with our baby, he continues to show jealously towards the attention she gets. Overall he is a sweet boy that wants a family to love, snuggle, play with, and go on walks with. Bonus: He is a perfect work-from-home ‘coworker’ he enjoy napping by you while you work.

Story
Hi, my name is Louie named after St Louis. Im an energetic 1.5 year old beagle who loves to run and play. I l moved across country this past year and I went from a big house with a backyard and a doggy door to a smaller house without even a backyard and it’s becoming too small. I was “rescued” from a puppy store where I had been sent to and my dad (who does not like puppy stores BTW) “rescued” me because I had been there longer than most of the other puppies and he wanted a beagle and felt something bad was going to happen to me if I wasn’t bought soon. I’m mostly house trained but I do have an accident from time to time but with a little more training and patience I should over come it. I’m a good learner. I love playing fetch, following my nose, taking naps, and cuddling. I’m big snuggle buddy. I hope to find a new loving home soon. If you have any questions, please reach out. Know that my current family loves me and this is a hard decision for them, but it is for the best.

Story
I adopted Lanky 1 year ago from a couple that had him since he was a puppy. They did an excellent job training him. I am having health problems and can't exercise him like he needs. He has put on weight, so he needs to play and run. I lost my home and am staying with relatives. Lanky needs a new family. He loves people but he gets nervous around very small children. My grandchildren are in elementary school. He is great with them, but nervous around 5 and under. He is very protective around his people about other dogs. He loves all people. I was in a senior living apartments and he loved all the old people. He rings a bell hanging from the door to alert me he needs to go outside. He is also crate trained. He doesn't like car rides unless he is in a crate. He loves to play and also snuggle on the couch and give lots of kisses.
