Meet Speedo! At 5 months old, Speedo weighs 30 pounds. We are guessing he will end up being around 40-45 pounds. He is sweet, smart, energetic, curious, and fearless. We haven't found anything he is afraid of! Speedo has the cutest curled-up tail and beautiful white and brindle markings. He can entertain himself by playing with his toys, but he also loves all dogs and people. He is potty trained and uses a doggie door at his foster home. He is quick to learn commands. He already knows come, sit, down, wait, no, off, and leave it. He quietly sleeps in his pen at night. Speedo is a typical puppy with lots of energy, usually followed by a nap). He would love a fenced-in backyard and another dog to play with. Cuddling with this little guy just makes your heart melt. We believe Speedo's mom is a Bassett hound mix weighing just 22 pounds, and we have photos of her. This cute and funny little guy is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on shots and preventatives. Roman is currently enrolled in the 12 week Puppies 4 Parole program through the Mo Department of Corrections. He will graduate around March 5th and will be available for adoption at that time. If you are interested in adopting Roman, please complete an application and the foster parent will contact you. Roman (Romy) is a 1yr. old male Bassett mix. He is full of curiosity and energy. He loves to cuddle and he even “talks” sometimes. He can be amusing at times especially when he trips over his chunky front paws. Roman is about 30-35 Ibs. He enjoys all types of squeaky toys and is learning to fetch. He has made himself quite at home and has made friends with our dog. He doesn’t discriminate when it comes to playmates. He’s been around large and small dogs and a cat. He is learning to walk on a leash and is getting better everyday. He doesn’t require a fenced yard. He loves his chew toys but needs to have access to plenty of them or he might chew a cord or shoe. Roman is not crate trained but is housebroken. He will whine at the door when he needs to go out. Roman loves to eat and has been caught attempting to “counter surf”. All in all, Roman is a complete sweetheart and will be a happy addition to his forever home.
