Mixed mutt! ODHS does not breed label (unless there's official paperwork), as studies show it is nearly impossible to tell the exact breed of each dog based off of their appearance. More "sought out breeds may have a higher adoption donation) Adoption donations are to be made via cash, or credit/debit card. There is a $5 fee to run cards. We do not accept checks for adoption fees. Please remember to bring a martingale collar and leash (non-retractable) with you the day of the adoption. We typically have adoption events on Wednesdays 5-7pm, Fridays 6-8pm, and 11 to 3pm. Our adoption center is located at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Suite 101, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. It's important that you keep an eye on your emails for any changes or updates during the adoption process. Old Dominion Humane Society is a volunteer based organization. We are run completely by volunteers, who also have full time jobs, so we appreciate your patience. Currently, the average timeframe for a response to your application is 1 week. Meet the beautiful Diva, a thought-to-be 2-year-old brindle mix. Despite the challenges she has faced, Diva is a sweetheart who was found as a stray wandering the hot summer streets. She landed on the euthanasia list at the overcrowded shelter but was transferred to rescue just in time. This lovely lady is on the lookout for her new best friend! While a bit shy initially with new people, once she warms up, Diva's personality shines. She is super affectionate, loving, playful, and silly, finding joy in being with her person. With a beautiful brindle color and beagle markings, our best guess is that she is a beagle mix, weighing around 20lbs. Diva is food-motivated and quite agile! Dog-friendly and loyal once she gets to know you, Diva is fully vetted, spayed, has a health certificate, is microchipped, vaccinated, and comes with preventatives, all set for her forever home.
