This charming Basset Collie mix may be small in stature, but don’t let that fool you—he’s got plenty of confidence, and yes, a bit of that Little Man Syndrome. Though he`s just a little guy, he’s convinced he’s the boss of the household (and he’s not afraid to let everyone know it)!Little Man came from humble beginnings as a stray, but he’s since found his place as the lovable, chunky companion who’s always ready for a cuddle or an adventure. With the laid-back, low-to-the-ground charm of a Basset Hound and the cleverness of a Collie, he’s got a perfect mix of sweet and sassy.He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys being part of the pack, but don’t be surprised if he tries to assert himself as the leader of the crew! His endearing personality, coupled with his cute, round belly, makes him the ultimate bundle of joy. Little Man may be small, but his big heart and larger-than-life spirit will steal yours in no time!

WINSTON is a 9 month old, male basset/beagle mix. He's got the basset low rider body and the turned out toes, with the trimmer size of a beagle. Regardless, he is nothing short of charming. He's got personality plus and struts his stuff with pride and confidence! We are discovering/working on his basic skills - leash, crate and house training. He's doing very well in all categories. His social skills are excellent. He's outgoing and he's good with other dogs. We feel he'd be great with children. At present, he only weighs 24 lbs so he should mature to 35-40? It won't matter, he's always going to be low to the ground! This guy is very close to move in condition and we dont think he'll last long. Meets will be set with approved applicants and on a fit/focus basis. Thank you!

O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou, Romeo? Right here and looking for his Juliet! Meet Romeo, a 10-month-old male mixed breed, guessed to be a mix of beagle or basset hound and possibly retriever, weighing around 45 pounds at the time of intake and still growing. He came to the shelter as a stray on 10/28/24 and was never reclaimed. His original owner shared that he’s done well with other dogs, cats, and children. If you have resident cats, the shelter can cat-test him to be sure. It’s also recommended to bring any resident dogs in for a meet and greet to ensure they’re a good match. Romeo has been around farm animals, like chickens, but didn’t have the best interactions with them, so farm animals may be viewed as prey to him. This Montague is searching for his Capulet—could that be you? Romeo’s ready to bring love and adventure into your life!
