We are seniors and adopted peanut and piglet ( daughter and mother) from a shelter near Chattanooga TN in 3/23 after our dog passed of old age and illness in 2/23. We had planned to adopt a poodle but she turned out to have serious biting issues. We love the girls but they were untrained and can’t deal with other dogs though they are good with our 5 year old granddaughter. We can’t train them we did get them vaccinated and spayed and microchipped. After several applications for her mother we have decided that we can’t separate the girls. This adorable little man is Hamilton! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 12/1, and no one has come to reclaim him. Hamilton was so very scared when he arrived, but with a little time to decompress and lots of TLC from the volunteers and staff, he's starting to relax. Hamilton is a sweetheart with lots of love to give; he's trying to learn how to trust people again. Can you help mend his broken heart? Hi, I’m Arthur! I’m a 3 year old beagle, and let me be completely honest…I did not have the best experience with people before I came to Hero. My foster family has been really patient with me, and I’m slowly starting to trust again. I still am not so comfortable with hugs and pets, but I do like hanging out with my peeps and knowing they are around. So I need a family who will work with me, be patient, and help me to fully trust and love, and I’ll become your buddy for life. I am told that I’m a very good boy, and I LOVE other dogs and puppies – although those little yappers do make me nervous until I get used to them. I am a hound, so I really need yard with a fence. And not just any fence will do, as I would be up and over a chain link fence pretty darn fast. I’m gentle, sweet and wouldn’t hurt a flea. I’m just looking for a family who can help me continue coming out of my shell and becoming the bestest pup that I know is in here somewhere.
