Story
Tilly is a purebred Basset Fauve de Bretagne. She is great with kids and babies and other dogs. She has a great nose and loves exploring. Her ideal home would have lots of land to run or an active/outdoorsy family. She is potty- and crate- trained, along with basic sit, stay, down, wait, and out commands. She could be trained to hunt. We are rehoming her because she deserves more attention than we can give her (two full-time attorneys with a toddler and a newborn).

Story
Brandy loves Belly rubs.  She is a little finicky with food.  She prefers a little wet with her dry food.  She prefers adults and really bonds with her person.  Older kids would be her preference.  She was adopted in 2023 and returned on 12/05/2025 because she was possessive and protective of the Mom and didn't want her kids hugging her.  They worked with a trainer but we will recommend a different trainer when she is next adopted. ##1698686##

Story
Levi is a 2 year old Bassett / Pit mix who is lovable, friendly, and wonderfully laid back. He is the kind of dog who is happy to simply be by your side, content to tag along wherever life takes you. This sweet boy is a good medium size, and has a calm, easygoing nature that makes him a joy to be around. During a recent Dog Day Out with a family, he proved himself to be great with kids, and also walked nicely on a leash and rode well in the car. This pup would be ready to go with you for errands, park days, or just a relaxing afternoon together. Out and about, Levi takes everything in stride, even ignoring squirrels and birds while enjoying a peaceful walk with his people. Plus who can resist his adorable short legs and the cutest little strut when he walks … it’s guaranteed to make you smile every time! If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal companion who will happily share life’s simple moments with you, Levi is ready to be your perfect match. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Story
A SWEET & PLAYFUL FRIEND:  Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 38 lbs. Hi, my name’s Marshall!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I am spending my days soaking up the love and attention from the volunteers here.  I’ve heard them say that I will be getting a new home with a family to love.  That sure makes me happy!  I’m ready for my loving home, so plan to come meet me soon!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off-site and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I’m available to meet. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I recently met some other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so – if you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.    • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a sweet young guy who still has a good bit of puppy energy in me.  Though I can be an excited little ankle nibbler on my walks right now, I was calm and wonderful for my bath.  The photographer said I was ‘happy and handsome’ for my photo session.  Check out my pics, and I bet you will agree!  I can’t wait to be someone’s affectionate and playful companion! / Energy level: 4-6.      • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘sit’ command and I look forward to learning more.  Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs!  I’m treat motivated, so learning some additional commands and polishing up on my leash walking skills should be fun – and yummy! / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too.     • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to be with my people and will ‘thank’ you with sweet kisses.  Toys are awesome, and I am ready to play!  Keep a treat or two handy, and you will get my undivided attention.  Yum! / I can’t think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a great home with a loving family for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  May 13, 2026, 10:04 am

Story
YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND: Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 32 lbs. Hi, I’m Shellie!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and I’m sure happy to be here and thankful for a second chance at living a great life!  I’m ready to find my new family and have some fun as well as show them what a great companion I’ll be. I was adopted for a few days, but it wasn’t a good fit as I did not like the cat and I need to work on my food and toy possessiveness which I’m doing now with my trainer.  I spent some time in the prison/foster training program off-site and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and did not like the females, but did well with the males, so if you have a male dog at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / I met a cat in a temporary home, and we learned that I should not live with cats due to my strong prey drive. (No cats were harmed in this discovery.) / There was an 11-year-old in my foster home, and I did great with them (they knew not to take things away from me), but more mature kids - aged 15+ that will follow the rules that work for me would be best, let’s meet. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  My former foster described me as a loving friend who gave lots of kisses and was also a bit ‘mouthy’ like a puppy! I was delightful for the Mostly Mutts photographer as I showed how much I enjoyed cuddling and being in a lap. A very sweet and lovable friend, I’m looking forward to showering my family with love! I am a bit possessive of my food, toys and anything in my mouth and there was 1 bite related to this, so I’ve been working on it with my trainer, who has implemented controlled locations for my meals, as well as accompanying commands – so please just ask about this. My trainer also taught me the command ‘drop it’ to trade my toys and bones for a high value treat.  / Energy level: 6-8, so I’ll want to be active with my new family. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. My trainer is working with me on my possessive behaviors as there was 1 bite related to this.  I’ve since learned to trade a toy for a treat and my trainer would be happy to talk to and work with you on this.  Mostly Mutts recommends a trainer to continue my training after adoption. / I am described as pretty relaxed in my crate and I did well in my two temp. homes, too. / I did really well with my potty manners in my foster home with no accidents as well as two temp. homes I was in for a few days.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love going for walks, playing with toys, chasing tennis balls, cuddling and being in laps as well as getting my head and ears scratched and my tummy rubbed.  I also like pawing at my people’s feet lol. / I can be a little shy when first meeting new people, so I do best when given time to approach at my own pace — if rushed, I may choose to run and hide.  See personality/skills section of my profile and I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m a great dog looking for a great family to love that will follow the rules that have been established to help me be successful! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  May 13, 2026, 10:04 am
