Story
Meet Shelton, the perfect gentleman! This happy, wiggly boy is always ready to enjoy a good pet, and he knows how to charm everyone he meets with his sweet, gentle nature. Shelton is a pro at sitting on command, and he’s even been known to crawl right into a lap for a few extra kisses—talk about a softie! He’s a treat lover, but nothing compares to the joy he gets from snuggles and attention. Shelton is the kind of dog that makes everyone smile with his endearing, well-mannered ways. A true sweetheart through and through!

Story
Luna needs a family that loves to include their dog in adventures. She was born in Maine and came with me to Florida when she was 1. She doesn’t do well cooper up in the house all day, she needs a lot of exercise. If not, she will find her own sources of entertainment like hunting for food scraps in the kitchen, or sleeping somewhere if she’s tired enough. She can be a cuddle bug, she loves to give hugs. She’s afraid of loud noises like smoke detectors, oven timers, and any kind of smoke. She and I both endured an abusive home, so she has her own quirks. She needs someone who can giver her all the adventure she deserves, she makes a great protector as well. She knows “look at me” to get her attention, “wait” while you’re getting her food and “get your breakfast/dinner” as her release command. She can catch things in her mouth, and she’s great at finding things you want her to search for. Despite her breed, she’s never assisted in hunting. She’s just a love bug who loves to chase things

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Duke is a very sweet dog, who needs a quiet household. It takes him a while to become acclimated to new people. He is currently in a foster home with a wonderful man who came to visit him here at the shelter multiple times to spend some time with him before he was ready to take him home. Duke is very happy in his home and loves to explore the yard. He has discovered that Duke does not like to be left alone for very long. He does not tear things up or destroy anything, he just gets nervous and shakes when he's alone for an extended period of time. We would like his permanent home to have someone home most of the time (work from home or retired) to keep him company during the day. Since he does not do well meeting new people he should not be walked in a busy community where strangers might want to come up and pet him. He will either need a backyard where he can safely run and play or live somewhere there is minimal walking traffic. Duke is a good dog and it is definitely worth the extra time it takes to get to know him :)  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 2:38 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Zelda was surrendered to Healthy Vet when her family decided not to seek treatment for her skin infection, asking instead to have her euthanized.   Dr. Pinzon had  the family sign over the dog, he called PRBJ and we took in this wonderful dog who needs a great home.  She is loving, not a barker, housetrained and friendly. She is heartworm positive and we have started her on medication as recommended by Dr. Pinzon.
