Story
Hi, I’m Chico, a super sweet pup who loves to make friends! I know basic commands like sit and I’m always ready for a belly rub. My favorite thing is to cuddle up and shower you with affection. I’m a big love bug who adores everyone I meet! I was brought into the shelter on June 27th, 2024 due to my owner no longer being able to care for me. I have been neutered, microchipped and I am up to date on all my vaccinations. Stop in and visit with me today!

These pups are in Palm Bay, Florida too!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Name: Pluto Mercury (named by a 4 year old while at Kennedy Space Center) Status: Available for adoption Medical Status: Healthy Weight: 38 lbs Age: 1yr Sex: Male (neutered) Breed: Beagle (and other hound breeds) 46%/Australian Cattle Dog 31% other 23% = 100% FUN!! Personality: Friendly, Stage 5 clinger Dog Friendly: Yes Cat Friendly: Unknown (ignored the only cat he met) House trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Pluto is a fun hound mix in his "awkward teenage" stage. He is silly, playful, and eager to please. Watching him chase his tail is hilarious and entertaining. If you want a cuddler, look no more. He does have puppy tendencies of jumping and being very mouthy/nippy. Pluto is housebroken with just a few accidents (his number one priority is playing when he gets outside vs potty). He’s learning leash manners and could use some practice, but he is learning fast. He literally learned SIT in less than 5 minutes. He goes into the crate on his own and with no issues. He likes to take naps and stash toys in there, although he briefly protests when the crate closes. If you’re looking for a sweet and loyal companion who will follow you around and just want to be close, Pluto might be the perfect addition to your family. Come meet this adorable guy today—Pluto Mercury is ready to find his forever home! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Ellie Mae – Your Future Best Friend with Angel Wings! If you’re looking for a tail-wagging bundle of joy, Ellie Mae is the one for you! At just 6 months old and 14 pounds of cuteness, Ellie Mae is a sweet, happy hound who will make your heart soar (like her angel wings marking on her back).  Whether you’re curled up on the couch or strolling through the park, she’s your devoted sidekick—she’ll be by your side ALL the time, ready for cuddles and companionship! Why is she so paw-some? Total cuddle bug: Ellie Mae is a lap dog through and through! She’s all about love and snuggles, and she just can’t get enough of her humans. Ellie Mae might be a little bashful when meeting new people or in unfamiliar places, but she’s quick to warm up and make new friends. A work in progress: As a playful puppy, she’s still learning boundaries, but she’s a fast learner and does her best to be a good girl. Sit? She’s got it! Stay? Almost there! Angel wings for days: Her markings on her back are too cute—they look like angel wings or butterfly wings. Who wouldn’t want a pup with that kind of heavenly charm? Ellie’s ideal home: A quieter environment where she can relax, but she’s still excited to go on walks, especially in peaceful surroundings. She loves other dogs and gets along with her feline friends (although she might try to chase them—just a playful “hello”)! Ellie is crate-trained and housebroken (though she’s still working on those occasional accidents, but frequent potty breaks help a ton). Fun Fact: Ellie Mae’s love is so big, she just might steal your heart with her sweet, shy smile and those angel wings that make her one-of-a-kind. Ready to add this angel to your family? Ellie Mae is eager to share her love, her angel wings, and her cuddles with you!
