Story
Hello! My name is June. I am a 5 month old mixed breed, mostly Basset Hound. My mom adopted me from a local animal shelter but it turns out I am not quite the right fit for my current home. I am cute, girly, funny, sweet, love to snuggle (and would cuddle all day!), and I love to run and play with my Bichon brother. So far, I am very obedient on a leash and around other animals. I am learning sit and stay right now and respond well to treat training. I’m working on crate training, potty training, and separation anxiety. I do not like when my mom leaves. If you feel like you could help me with my separation anxiety and courage, and give me a fenced yard to run and play in, and/or if you have another hound that could show me the ropes, we may be a great fit. The vet estimates I’m about as big as I am going to get at 25-30 lbs. I love sleeping with you, too, as right now, a crate makes me really scared. My neighbors say I am as cute as could be. I come with spay/other records. Thanks!

Story
Hello! My name is June. I am a 5 month old mixed breed, mostly Basset Hound. My parents adopted me from an animal shelter. I am small, cute, girly, funny, sweet, love to snuggle and be near you, and I love to run and play with my Bichon Frise boy brother. I am very obedient on a leash and around other animals. I am learning sit and stay and respond well to treat training. I’m working on crate training, potty training, and separation anxiety. I really do not like when my mom leaves and love to be by her side. If you feel like you can assist me with separation anxiety, and give me a safe, fenced yard to run and play in, and/or if you have another hound or similar sized dog that could show me the ropes, we may be a great fit. The vet estimates I’m as big as I am going to get at 25-30 lbs. I love sleeping with you, as right now, getting in a crate makes me scared/cry. My neighbors say I am as cute as could be! I come with all records/shots. Thank you so much!

TEXApproximately 3 Years OldMale65 PoundsDogHello! My name is Tex. I am 3 years old and 74 pounds of big, sweet, goofy, happy love!! I am an active boy. I LOVE attention, and I will happily repay that attention with lots of snuggles and kisses. I love toys, especially my big chew bone. The shelter staff say I am very playful and funny. They all love me, and say that when they are with me, I make them smile and giggle. Since I am a Hound Mix, I am vocal, and I love to talk to you. I have been described as "a happy go lucky kind of guy!" I love everyone I meet. I will make a great dog for the family or person who adopts me. Are you my person? I would love nothing more than a forever home of my own. Please come to the shelter to meet me...I promise you will fall in love with me!

Story
Tis I, Queen Snickerdoodle! At 2 years old and 55 pounds, I reign supreme as the ultimate snuggler, couch potato, and queen of your heart. With my German Shepherd coloring, floppy ears, and adorably “fun-sized” legs like a Basset Hound, I’m a sight to behold—and I know it! I mean, who wouldn’t want to worship at the paws of such royalty? But don’t be fooled by my regal looks; I am also incredibly smart and well-mannered. I’ve mastered basic commands like sit, paw, and down, and I’m the perfect blend of playful and chill. Whether I’m playing with my stuffed toys or curled up on the couch for a movie marathon, I’m always happy to match your vibe.I love going for walks, and even with my short legs, I’ll keep up with you just fine! I recently went on a little vacation with a foster, and they couldn’t stop raving about how well-behaved I was. I enjoyed napping on the couch and lounging on the balcony, soaking up the neighborhood gossip (you wouldn’t believe what the squirrels were up to!). I also had fun walking around town and sunbathing on the beach—just don’t expect me to get my hair wet! Some say I’m like a lovable sitcom character, providing just the right amount of comic relief with my quirky antics. My superpower? A sweet, soulful stare that can charm anyone into playing with me, giving me treats, or showering me with belly rubs! Seriously, my stare could win an Oscar. While I get along with other calm dogs, I must confess—I’m a bit of a diva and would prefer to reign as the only 4-legged queen in your home. Oh, and belly rubs? They’re my absolute favorite—though food comes in a close second!Ready to bring home a little slice of royalty? Apply to adopt me at abandonedpetrescue.orgAnd be sure to follow me on Instagram for all my regal updates and decrees! @snickerdoodleaprTo meet this adoptable pet, please fill out an adoption application at www.abandonedpetrescue.org and a team member will contact you to schedule an appointment.
