Story
*** If you are interested in Gracie, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ *** Meet Gracie, a 3-year-old purebred Basset Hound who is as charming as she is adorable! Weighing in at about 40 lbs, this little lady is the epitome of the breed, with her signature super-short legs, ridiculously long ears, and a face that could melt even the coldest of hearts! Gracie was shockingly found as a stray in rural Texas, and despite her undeniable charm, no one ever came forward to reclaim her. But their loss is your gain because this sweet girl is now looking for her forever home where she can be cherished and adored. Gracie has a gentle and loving personality that makes her a delight to be around. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is just as friendly with humans. Whether it’s lounging around for a nap, exploring the yard with her trademark waddle, or soaking up all the belly rubs she can get, Gracie is content as long as she’s surrounded by love. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will steal your heart (and maybe your spot on the couch), Gracie is your girl. Her soulful eyes and goofy charm make every day brighter. We don't know if Gracie has had any formal training. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young dog whose self-esteem will fly high while she masters her skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Our training requirement is to help every adoption be successful. Gracie has been fully vetted, is up to date on her vaccines, and spayed. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.

Story
Meet Scout, a very sweet and somewhat aloof beagle. He loves toys and will gently toss them around then chase after them. Scout has been happy to entertain himself throughout the evenings, but would enjoy having a canine sibling. He enjoys going for walks and will need a human with firm footing as his nose would love to lead the way. Because he’s a goofy and smart hound, he also tries to snag snacks if they’re within reach. Scout protests when he first gets in his kennel, but after five minutes of voicing his displeasure, he settles right in. He is quickly picking up house training but needs a few days to understand a new schedule. To adopt this goofy beagle, submit an application today! Scout is a 2-year-old Beagle rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $600 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and neuter. Scout is also tested with other dogs, children, is kennel trained, and housebroken. Scout is not tested with cats. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). *Our annual Deck the Paws adoption event will be held on December 21 from 11am-1pm at Maxline Brewing (2724 McClelland Dr #190, Fort Collins, CO 80525). We will not be hosting an event on Saturday, December 28 and will offer private adoption appointments December 22-31. Happy Holidays!* For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption!
