Story
****** COURTESY POST - THE DOG IS NOT AT THE SHELTER******** Daisy is a lovely dog, I believe she is loving and caring unfortunately the problem is that she is scared of everything. I have another dog who pee’s randomly when she is stressed or scared and she stays in a corner most of the time and does not get along with my other blue heeler. She needs a home where she is the only pet she also overeats and starves and I think my other blue heeler and her have had an impact this week where they do not get along she needs a home where she is only paid attention to. Email kendrymolina@yahoo.com to learn more.    All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Please click on the link for Yolo County Animal Services for more information. September 14, 2024, 2:37 pm

Story
My wife and I took Buddy in a few months ago from a home that wasn't able to properly look after him. He was outside most of every day, had just had fleas, and was dehydrated. We had him neutered and made sure he is up to date on all of his shots, the fleas are gone and coat is recovered, and he seems much happier now. We believe he is 4 years old, but didn't get an exact birthday from the previous owner. He is very sweet and affectionate most of the time, but has recently developed a habit of growling when pet or approached. We attribute it to some form of anxiety, but have not been able to figure out the underlying cause or seen much improvement as he gets more used to us. He does well with other dogs and children when we are out, and loves to play wrestle with our other Basset. It is usually when he is lying comfortably that he does not want to be touched or moved. I believe that once he gets over whatever is bothering him, he will be a wonderful addition to any home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Female basset hound mixBella’s owner, who has provided good care for her, needs to surrender Bella because of her increasing work responsibilities. Bella is a 49-pound spayed female, approximately 6+ years old and is a basset mixed with some other breed. She is up to date on all her vetting, house trained, microchipped,  and is in good health. Bella is shy and fearful of strangers, at first, but after warming  up, she loves attention and affection. She is hesitant around other dogs, slowly becoming comfortable and might play a little, but otherwise keeps to herself. Bella pulls when on leash and barks and lunges at other dogs when on the leash with her owner. She is best with dogs of similar size or larger and has never had issues with other dogs when attending day care. She has no experience with cats nor much experience with children. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 15, 2024, 9:14 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Buzz is a 7 year old neutered male basset hound with a loving playful personality. Buzz's foster home has helped Buzz shed a few pounds, so he is more active, very playful, and has come out of his shell. Buzz is up to date on all his vetting, including recently having had a dental. Buzz is a wonderful boy, he is sweet as they come. He sure loves his humans and needs to be with them whenever he can, following you all over the home. He loves to ride in the car and walks to the park. He is a little shy when meeting new doggies, but warms up quickly. He does play well with other dogs as he has 2 basset buddies here, one 6yr and a 4 month puppy, he will let the puppy know when he wants to be left alone. Buzz is a great watch dog, keeping an eye out on his home. Not sure how Buzz will do with cats though. Buzz does bark when you walk out the door, but does settles right down. He does get real excited when you do return and will bark a bit. This wonderful boy will be a great addition to any family. He definitely is a couch potato and loves to lay by you as you watch TV and scratch his neck. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 15, 2024, 9:14 pm
