Basset Hound puppies and dogs in West Sacramento, California

My wife and I took Buddy in a few months ago from a home that wasn't able to properly look after him. He was outside most of every day, had just had fleas, and was dehydrated. We had him neutered and made sure he is up to date on all of his shots, the fleas are gone and coat is recovered, and he seems much happier now. We believe he is 4 years old, but didn't get an exact birthday from the previous owner. He is very sweet and affectionate most of the time, but has recently developed a habit of growling when pet or approached. We attribute it to some form of anxiety, but have not been able to figure out the underlying cause or seen much improvement as he gets more used to us. He does well with other dogs and children when we are out, and loves to play wrestle with our other Basset. It is usually when he is lying comfortably that he does not want to be touched or moved. I believe that once he gets over whatever is bothering him, he will be a wonderful addition to any home.

I have another dog who pee’s randomly when she is stressed or scared and she stays in a corner most of the time and does not get along with my other blue heeler. She needs a home where she is the only pet she also overeats and starves and I think my other blue heeler and her have had an impact this week where they do not get along she needs a home where she is only paid attention to. She has gorgeous eyes and an expressive face. She was found as a stray with her 3 puppies: Patsy Ann, Phineus and Perry. They are all available for adoption together or separately. She is a little shy until she gets to know you and then she is a complete LOVEBUG. She is the PERFECT fun size dog and would love to join your family on all life’s adventures.
