Scotty is a very sweet, loving, calm basset hound. He was abandoned by his owner in Asia as they discovered that he has some deformity in his front legs. His joint buckles as he walks but that doens't slow him down in anyway. He's able to walk, run, and go up/down the stairs just fine! He walks well on leash. Loves to eat and he does well with other dogs and loves people. SF Bay Area adoption only.

Mars was a rescue from a breeder in Asia that was going to dump them when they were only 3 months old. He is very calm, gentle, and sweet guy. Loves to eat, walks well on leash, and does fine with other dogs. He is a bit shy to start but warms up quickly and would love to follow wherever you are. SF Bay Area adoption only.

Meet TJ! This short and squat hound mix came into the Shelter with his two littermates. His previous guardian was unable to continue caring for them and brought them into the home to find a great home. TJ lived with cats, his littermates and a large breed dog in the previous home. He was described as good with the resident dogs and cats. When strangers would come over, TJ would bark to alert that they were there but would then warm up. TJ has also been around children from ages 1 years old to teenagers. TJ is still perfecting house training and will need a patient adopter to help him get there. If you are looking for a new BFF and have the time and energy to commit to an adolescent pup – come meet TJ today!From 10/5 through 10/31, we are having a “Spooky Low Adoption Fees” promotion. Bella is a 49-pound spayed female, approximately 6+ years old and is a basset mixed with some other breed. She is up to date on all her vetting, house trained, microchipped, and is in good health. Bella is shy and fearful of strangers, at first, but after warming up, she loves attention and affection. She is hesitant around other dogs, slowly becoming comfortable and might play a little, but otherwise keeps to herself. Bella pulls when on leash and barks and lunges at other dogs when on the leash with her owner. She is best with dogs of similar size or larger and has never had issues with other dogs when attending day care. She has no experience with cats nor much experience with children. Buzz's foster home has helped Buzz shed a few pounds, so he is more active, very playful, and has come out of his shell. Buzz is up to date on all his vetting, including recently having had a dental. Buzz is a wonderful boy, he is sweet as they come. He sure loves his humans and needs to be with them whenever he can, following you all over the home. He loves to ride in the car and walks to the park. He is a little shy when meeting new doggies, but warms up quickly. He does play well with other dogs as he has 2 basset buddies here, one 6yr and a 4 month puppy, he will let the puppy know when he wants to be left alone. Buzz is a great watch dog, keeping an eye out on his home. Not sure how Buzz will do with cats though. Buzz does bark when you walk out the door, but does settles right down. He does get real excited when you do return and will bark a bit. This wonderful boy will be a great addition to any family. He definitely is a couch potato and loves to lay by you as you watch TV and scratch his neck.
