Story
Beeby is a handsome, 2 year old, Basset Hound weighing in at 50 lbs. This sweet boy can be shy at first, but warms up with a little patience. He has good leash manners, and as his breed would suggest, he likes to explore. If kids are in the home, he'll do best with kids 10+. He is currently residing at the adoption center, but would really rather go and explore your home with you! Please come by the adoption center to meet him!No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the dog. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Story
Bubby is a 2-1/2 year old, 52 pound Basset blend who joined us from Yuma, where he was surrendered due to his family not being able to care for him anymore. He can be shy at first, but he loves to explore, and will warm right up! He is an affectionate guy who is treat motivated and is working with our volunteers on basic commands and leash manners. He likes to chase toys, but missed the memo regarding the "return" the toy, portion of the program. He's living at our adoption center and waiting to find his forever home.No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. 🐾 Meet Maggie — Your Sweet, Laid-Back Companion! 🐾 Introducing Maggie, a lovable 6-year-old Basset Hound mix who’s just joined the LCDR family! 🐶💖 Maggie is the definition of a gentle soul. She’s settling into her foster home beautifully, getting along well with her four senior doggy roommates and embracing a chill “you do you” vibe. 🧘‍♀️✨ Though she’s a little too curious about small critters, Maggie’s perfect home would be rabbit-free. She’s super quiet (no barking yet!), fully potty-trained, and learning the doggy door. Maggie is also getting the hang of her harness and loves taking gentle treats. 🍪 And after a recent bath, she’s looking and feeling fabulous! If you’re looking for a peaceful, loving companion, Maggie could be the perfect match. Could you be the one to give her a forever home? 🏡💖 ⬇️ Apply to meet Maggie! 📝🐾 https://forms.gle/smHE33Vf5m28cknv7 #lcdrmaggie 🐕
