Story
Meet Hannah – The Gentle Matriarch Hannah is a beautiful 7-year-old Hound mix with a heart as big as her floppy ears! She’s a calm, well-behaved girl who just wants to be near her people and enjoy the simple comforts of life. Hannah’s look is as unique as her personality — she has a little extra skin and a slightly crooked snout, likely from birth, that only adds to her one-of-a-kind charm. This amazing girl was rescued from a hoarding situation involving 17 dogs and puppies. Many have since found their forever homes, but a few, including some believed to be Hannah’s daughters, are still waiting for their happily-ever-after. We think Hannah was the matriarch of the group, and her nurturing nature truly shines through. Since joining the rescue, Hannah has completed her heartworm treatment and is now heartworm negative! She’s also learning new skills every day — including leash walking, crate training, and she’s completely housebroken! Hannah has been spayed, fully vaccinated, and dewormed, and she’s ready to find a loving home to call her own. Adoption Fee: $250 If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion with a heart full of love, Hannah would love to meet you! May 11, 2026, 10:54 pm

Story
This is Boomer, a 5 y/o male Hound mix. He is a very gentle and calm dog. I’m looking for someone who would want to adopt him and his brother Benny. They have been together since they were 6 months old and do everything together. You could say Benny is Boomers support animal lol. Boomer has anxiety sometimes and Benny helps keep him calm. I am willing to separate them if need be. As long as it’s to a good home. I know he will make someone a happy companion.

Story
Meet Sophia! 🐾 Sophia came a 70+ hound hoarding case with her puppies. She was underweight and giving all the nutrients she had to her pups. She is the best mama. Sophia is a bit shy upon meeting, but warms up very quickly with food and love! She has been thriving in her foster home while learning to walk on a leash, play with toys, potty habits, and just be a dog! She has no reaction to the many other dogs in the foster’s home and sometimes wants to give the kitties kisses, but mainly ignores them as well. She really just wants to be cuddle up to her person. She is a total velcro dog once she trusts you. She will want to lay next to or behind you whenever possible and loves to give hugs. Despite never being on a leash prior she has been doing great with short walks and really enjoys sniffing around the neighborhood. Sophia just needs someone with a little extra time and patience, but the love she will give you will be more than worth it. All Memos (1)

Story
Available in TX only! King is a one year old Basset Hound/Lab mix with a gentle soul and a laid back nature. He is still gaining confidence and can be scared of new things, especially loud noises, but once he feels safe he settles in nicely. When he gets excited he can be a little jumpy, though most of the time he is calm and easygoing. King truly enjoys running around the yard, going on walks, and soaking up outdoor time. He has a playful side and loves playing fetch with frisbees and balls. Tug of war is another favorite game, and he is a big fan of chew time. Knuckle bones, hard chew toys for power chewers, and anything he can safely gnaw on make him very happy. King is crate trained and house trained, which makes him an easy addition to a home. King does have a prey drive and enjoys chasing squirrels and frogs, and he will chase cats, so a cat free home is recommended. He also has a sensitive stomach and does best on sensitive stomach dog food, as treats like milk bones do not agree with him. King would thrive in a patient, understanding home that will give him time to build confidence and continue showing him the world is a safe place. With love and consistency, he will be a loyal and loving companion To apply directly for King, push the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-751 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy’s team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home.
