Emma was found as stray in a busy shopping strip by a good Samaritan. She is approx. 10 months old and weighs 22lbs. Very sweet demeanor, gets along well with other dogs, is crate and house trained and loves to hang out with people. The slaughter house was shut down thanks to Adogs and he was rescued. * With People: Has a shy personality. With a bit of time, he accepts treats placed on the hand and follows people around! * With Dogs: Is a little indifferent towards other dogs. Is not the type to approach or to show interests in other dogs first. * Potty Training: Uses outdoor potty at Adogs center. * Walks: Likes going for walks. Pulls on the leash when he encounters other animals, so he’s undergoing training for this. Sometimes he gets surprised and barks when he sees large dogs. * Car Sickness: Has a mild car sickness, drooling a little and moving a while.

Everyone, meet Riley! He is an 11-year-old Basenji Mix. He was born in Texas and lived thereuntil he was 3 years old before moving to Washington. He loves the sun and will gladly lie in asunny spot all day. He loves the outdoors, with a lot of room to run. He loves to dig holes, andhe is an escape artist. If he can escape a fenced yard, he will go on an adventure in the area.He loves any other dog as long as they let him, but he is not a cat lover. He will gladly share abed with you and snuggle under the covers, but he can also sleep in his bed or on a comfycouch. He loves car rides with the window down. He will never get tired of belly rubs or headscratches. He hates the rain and baths because of the basenji breed in him, but you can bribehim with treats. He loves to play fetch and will sit. He’s the perfect companion for a family with teenage children or an elderly coupleor person. He is very nervous and anxious around babies or young children. Looking for a home that fits!

Story

Bali is a very sweet boy. He is about 9 months old and believed to be a Basenji, Australian Kelpie, Lab mix. He can be shy with new people at first but then comes out of his shell once he gets to know you. He absolutely loves the beach! His favorite activity is simply lounging at the beach. He also loves lounging in the backyard when it is warm and sunny. He gets along well with other dogs after very slow introductions. He does not like our cats so he needs a cat-free home. He also would do best in a home with a backyard as he does not like to go potty on leash. He still has accidents inside the home but I believe a doggy door would solve the issue. Bali has separation anxiety and some past trauma from his street dog life. He takes a daily fluoxetine pill which helps a lot with these symptoms but he needs a family who can be gentle and understanding of his needs. He is very good with kids and loves to play with them! He would be a great family dog for the right family.

Twinkle was rescued in Texas. She is good with other dogs and lived with kids in her foster home. She is still working on mouthiness while playing so older children may be best! She is potty trained. She does have some separation anxiety (barking) ideally would live with another dog or someone who is home often. Probably not the best apartment candidate but hey, she is still young and with the right training she can do anything!
