One day, she gave birth to a litter of several puppies, and sadly she lost most of her babies during labor as well as her own life. He has been taken care of at the shelter since, looking for a loving forever home where he can grow and thrive. • Personality: Friendly, Active, Playful Milo is such a lovable pup who likes to play with people and doggos! He would be a great fit in a family that enjoys outdoor activities! • Affinity - With Cats: Not tested - With Dogs: Gets along with other dogs except for aggressive ones. - With Adults/Kids: Super sweet around people including men / not tested for kids • Shedding: 5-7 • Food Allergies: No allergies found so far • Walking Manner: In training. • Housetrained: He would use the bathroom outdoors if adopted. • Bath/Brushing: Tolerates both. • Separation Anxiety: None. • Bark or Howl: He doesn't bark unless he is left in a confined space. • Carsickness: Not experienced • Likes & Dislikes: He loves toys, treats, and people! / Not a fan of aggressive dogs.

Story
Meet Polly; she’s from Bali! (Well, maybe. She’s from somewhere in Indonesia!) Polly was rescued from an Indonesian meat market and as you can see, she’s been settling in well to her new life in the USA. Polly is a loveable, curious, and independent girl who loves walks, running around her yard, and playing with other dogs and toys. She is a fan of puzzle toys, tug-of-war, and watching the world go by from her porch! Polly is mellow overall, but she still gets the zoomies sometimes and needs a chance to burn off some energy each day. She would be a great companion for someone who likes walking and playing engaging games with her, but she also spends a good portion of the day snoozing and quietly entertaining herself. Polly has a goofy side, too, and will jump around and “talk” from time to time! Polly is affectionate with her foster family and greets them lovingly when they get home. She likes being near her humans, but she prefers to sit next to them on the couch or at the foot of the bed rather than cuddle directly in their laps. Polly gets along well with her canine housemates, although sometimes her bouncy nature annoys smaller, older or non-playful dogs. She would be happy with another playful dog to romp around with. Polly is cautious and reserved around people and dogs she does not know, and she takes a little while to warm up, but once she knows you, she is very sweet and loves to hang out with you. Polly gets scared in places crowded with lots of people, children, and dogs, so she is not the best dog for accompanying you to places like parties, farmer’s markets, or breweries. However, she enjoys quieter, more peaceful outings, like walks in her neighborhood and hikes. Polly has made great strides settling into family life and working on training, and she would thrive with a patient, loving family that doesn’t force or rush her into situations she’s uncomfortable in. If you want a friend to keep you company and explore the world with, come meet Polly! My Profile Age and weight: I'm 1 year old and weigh 40 pounds. Good with kids: Unknown Good with dogs: Some dogs Good with cats: Unknown Fenced yard: Yes Suitable for townhouse and/or apartment: No House trained: Yes. Crate trained: Yes Barks when left alone: I’ll bark when you leave, but then I’ll settle down Chews inappropriate items: Occasionally Training: I know sit, and I'm looking forward to training class to learn more! Activity level: Medium I need an experienced adopter. Meet Me If you are interested in Polly, consider letting us know by filling out a (no-obligation) adoption application at pgspca.org. Please consult our Adoption FAQ before contacting us. Please check the adoption-show-attendees page to see if Polly will be attending the next adoption show. Story
Bert and Ernie are an inseparable pair of best friends who do everything together. Whether they’re snuggling up for a nap or enjoying a walk side by side, these two share an unbreakable bond. When Ernie feels uncertain or scared, Bert is right there to guide him and offer comfort. Bert, ever the social butterfly, adores belly rubs and being the center of attention. Meanwhile, Ernie prefers to stay a little more in the background, quietly observing and staying involved without feeling overwhelmed. This duo is searching for a calm, loving home where they can settle in and thrive. Their ideal family will offer the patience and understanding they need as they adjust to their new surroundings. Bert is working towards reaching a healthy weight so he can get back to running and playing like he used to, while Ernie would love a peaceful environment where he can gain confidence and trust, knowing that love always comes around for a second chance. Are you viewing my information on a third party site like Petfinder.com? Story
Harry is a rescue dog from a rural town in South Korea. He currently lives chained inside a shipping container with no heating or cooling. He is fed by the owners of a gas station, where the shipping container is located. He is allowed outside of the shipping container once per day for only 5-10 minutes, to use the bathroom -- as a result, he is often constipated and visibly hurts him to use the bathroom. The owners of the gas station have 7 cats, so never felt comfortable bringing him to their home. Harry is a friendly boy who loves people, likes to be outside, but is quite skittish due to minimal socialization. We have never seen any destructive behavior from him. Harry does well with cats, but we are not sure how he reacts to other dogs. He likely has not met another dog since he was a young puppy. We are planning to fly him over from Korea to the US on January 6,2025. Please help Harry have a loving home for the first time in his life! Instagram: @adopt_harry_
