Story
Hello everyone! My name is Sheldon and I'm a very good boy who's eager to find a furever home where I can cuddle, play, and be the best companion I can be.
I'm a young boy at about 2 years old and I weigh 43 pounds with a lot of love to give. I'm very attentive, affectionate, and I love to play! The nice volunteers at the rescue say I am about the cutest thing ever with my unique nose and adorable ears.
I like to have fun and be active, I can't wait to do all kinds of things with you, I don't care what it is, walking, playing or exploring, as long as we are together. Then maybe snuggle on a nice cozy bed to snooze when I'm tuckered out.
I can be a little submissive though, and need some leadership, structure and basic obedience. I’m very attentive to you and want to please, I know I will just blossom in the right home.
If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, I would love to meet them. I have a soft, loose approach with other dogs and love to play.
If you're looking for a gorgeous, sweet, and loyal companion, I'm your guy! Please come meet me and fall in love with my cute little nose. I will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old.
On of our wonderful volunteers took Sheldon for a sleepover getaway and here is a little update:
I had such a fun time hanging out with Sheldon this past weekend! We got a warm welcome at Doghouse Coffee, thanks barista Mattie and her cousin Abby for showering Sheldon with attention and for the pup cup! We explored Bass Pro and met some super sweet girl scouts there. We also shopped around PetCo and went for a long walk in downtown Clarkston. Throughout our adventures Sheldon received a lot of compliments for being handsome and friendly, and many asked what breed he is since his appearance is so unique. In the evening we played, worked on obedience, and snuggled together watching TV. Sheldon is single and looking for love and commitment! I fell head over heels in love with Sheldon after spending only 24 hours with him.
If you are interested in Sheldon and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!
*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
