Are you looking for an adorable playmate for your dog? Louis is a 1 year old Basenji/Pittie mix currently in foster who is in need of a forever home. Lou is a healthy, 49 pound neutered male who is potty trained and crate trained. He is full of joyful energy and puppy innocence, and loves nothing more than being with his people! Louis was surrendered to an animal shelter by his owner when he was about 6 months old, through no fault of his own. Lou was quite confused and stressed to find himself in the shelter environment. He was transferred to a rescue in August, where he received training. Lou has been in foster care since mid-October. Lou is a lovable, smart, playful, and cuddly boy. He knows "sit" and is very food motivated in his training. Lou can be shy at first with new people, but he quickly warms up and becomes your bff. Lou is friendly with kids, but would do better with older children due to how energetic he can be. He would love the chance to have a family of his own!

Lou can be shy at first with new people, but he quickly warms up and becomes your bff. Lou loves playfully bouncing around with other friendly dogs for hours, although he can be selective if other dogs react to him first. He is also friendly with kids, but would do better with older children due to how energetic and playful this puppy can be.   Louis is up-to-date on all vaccinations and flea, tick, and heartworm medication. He is microchipped and ready to roll. Cutie is ready for her forever home! She is an active dog who would do well in a household that can continue her socialization and training. Cutie's former fosters say she is a total sweetheart, good with kids, incredibly smart, highly affectionate, mostly housebroken (asked to go outside successfully on multiple occasions]. She loves her walks and playtime.

Jackie came to the Sanctuary with several dogs who suddenly needed a place to land. Jackie is super friendly with people and dogs. She is a little shy at first, but before long she just wants to snuggle in close, smile and wag. Jackie would be a great family dog....she would love to go on runs or hikes, would love to watch a football game with you, play in the pool, or go to the beach! Jase is an adorable 9-year-old, 10 pound, Chihuahua mix. He looks like a miniature Basenji. He has beautiful golden eyes and a ring of white fur around his neck. This handsome little guy was found in an orchard with five other dogs when he was barely a year old. He has spent years 2 through 9 here at the sanctuary. Jase does not allow us to pick him up or hold him. Once he gets to know you, he is quite happy to stand on you to get a treat. He loves treats, especially chicken and other people food, he will eat almost any vegetable. Jase is very happy with pack life. He needs a home with another dog or two that he can follow around. He goes outside to potty with the command “Go Potty”. He will use the doggie door. He sleeps happily in a crate (although we think he would adjust to sleeping in your bed) Jase is a house dog that needs outside privileges in a secure yard. He loves to snuggle with other dogs.
