Bruce is a fun, energetic and charming 7 yr. old, 22 lb. Basenji/Terrier Mix who loves a game of fetch and squeaky toys. He already knows sit, stay, crawl, and come. He is very smart and easy to train when motivated by a treat. Bruce is outgoing and friendly with people, except when he forgets that it isn't his job to guard the home from strangers. He is working with a trainer on that issue and making great progress. He is a volunteer favorite because of his quirky, fun personality. He would do best as the only dog in a fairly quiet adult home with dog experience. Bruce was adopted 3 yrs ago and brought back due to an unexpected change in his family's living situation. 🐾 COCO the Basenji Mix is looking for her new forever home. Coco is an incredibly sweet and loyal 2.5 year old gal. She enjoys humans and other dogs and gets along well with cats. This young lady loves to run and play at the beach or park and snuggle up on the couch or on your lap. She is very intelligent, gentle and joyfully curious as she loves to learn and aims to please. Coco knows her commands and is eager to learn more, and being very treat motivated, she will be easy to teach. She has been living at her trainer Nicole's home for a bit so she's been getting her training in daily. She is crate trained, house broken and travels well in the car. Coco walks great on a leash and would be great to have an owner who enjoys running and hiking. She truly needs a quiet home with a female owner as it seems she is most comfortable with women. Ideally this woman would work from home or is retired and has experience with rescue dogs as patience and understanding will be necessary in helping this pretty girl thrive. Coco is working hard on meeting new people as she can get a bit shy. YiYi is immediately at risk of being euthanized and we want to get her but we need to secure a foster. Help us save her by opening your heart and your home!! Her current owners moved into a senior community and their new neighbors have already taken action and poor YiYi will not be allowed there. Most likely, the community CC&Rs have stated rules and regulations about dogs made even more strict by the 'senior living' aspect. There's not much that can be done without an expensive -not guaranteed- battle. At that point, the best alternative that was concluded for YiYi's future was for her to be put down. Put down?!? What?!? That's no future... Ughh.. sometimes there are no words. None of that matters anymore. It's in the past. We want to help her have a future. You must live within 1.5 hours of Vallejo. We do require a home check (no exceptions), We try to match each animal with the best fit for the animal. He came from a shelter they believed had been hit by a car he had a broken pelvis and injured leg, but we are fairly sure he was beaten. He was terrified of anything like a broom and pees and poops himself. He's getting better every day. He needs a quiet home, cats are okay, but no male dogs. He can be a sweet boy but wants to trust but we can see it in his eyes as he sizes up every situation. He loves playing with the female dogs in his foster home and can spend hours outside just running and playing. He weighs about 9 pounds, is microchipped and has been fully vaccinated. Neuter to be announced still recovering from a broken pelvis and injured leg. Please consider adopting a senior dog. They are passed over routinely in shelters and Chihuahua senior dogs who are black are then the number 2 breed most euthanized in shelters. Adopt don't shop! ##1371753##
