Story
Meet Penny, a 6-year-old Basenji mix with a heart full of love and a spirited personality. Originally from Mexico, Penny made her way to California in December 2020 and was quickly adopted. However, she was returned when her previous family found out they were expecting a baby, and Penny wasn’t comfortable around the little one. Penny is a sweet and loving dog who thrives in the right environment. She’s fully house trained, never has accidents inside, and is a joy to have around. Penny enjoys long walks and playing with her toys, but she also loves relaxing and taking naps next to her favorite people. While Penny is not good with other dogs, cats, or kids, she is an ideal companion in a home where she can be the sole focus of attention. She’s working on her reactivity to other dogs on walks, so a patient family willing to help her through her anxiety would be the perfect fit. If you’re looking for a loyal and affectionate dog who will shower you with love and appreciate a calm, dog-free home, Penny is ready to become a cherished member of your family.

He came from a shelter they believed had been hit by a car he had a broken pelvis and injured leg, but we are fairly sure he was beaten. He was terrified of anything like a broom and pees and poops himself.  He's getting better every day. He needs a quiet home, cats are okay, but no male dogs. He can be a sweet boy but wants to trust but we can see it in his eyes as he sizes up every situation. He loves playing with the female dogs in his foster home and can spend hours outside just running and playing.  He weighs about 9 pounds, is microchipped and has been fully vaccinated. Neuter to be announced still recovering from a broken pelvis and injured leg. Please consider adopting a senior dog. They are passed over routinely in shelters and Chihuahua senior dogs who are black are then the number 2 breed most euthanized in shelters. Adopt don't shop! ##1371753##

Story
Pretty Delta is a sweetheart. She's a young happy dog who loves to play and be affectionate. Delta's owners got rid of her because they were tired of having dogs. They dumped their 13 year old Shepherd as well. Thankfully, we were able to rescue them before the owners dumped them in one of the local shelters. Delta is great with other dogs and really just a nice, sweet dog. She will be great with another dog in the household or as a single dog. She's a great size at about 50 lbs. We are looking for an adult home with yard access for Delta. Please contact Ingrid (310) 480 6030 pcdrapps@yahoo.com If you'd like to meet this cutie, please fill out our adoption application: http://www.pcdogrescue.org/online_application.html

Story
Sex: FemaleBreed: Basenji xEstimated Date of Birth : 09/13/2023Are you ready for the perfect dog!! Then Harley is the dog you’ve been waiting for! She’s beautiful, happy and social. She’s exactly what so many adopters are looking for. We love her bright energy so much and that’s why we knew she’d be the perfect addition to our Pawsitive Change program! We send all kinds of dogs in and happy and social dogs help the shy dogs adjust in the prison environment quicker. Harley will be taking all her positive energy into North Kern State Prison. She’ll spend the next 3 months gaining the obedience skills she needs to make her an even more perfect adoption candidate. Harley, even with her happy go lucky personality, almost didn’t make it out of the shelter. She spent a month at our county shelter when they picked her up as a stray and sadly no adopters seemed interested. But we saw what a great dog she was and Pawsitive Change will now be giving this sweet girl her chance to shine! Harley loves everyone! Dogs, humans she’s great with them all. This girl has so many positives what she learns in prison is only going to make her more amazing! In 3 months she’ll be ready for her next great adventure and we really hope that adventure includes a home and adoption with you! Just fill out her application so she can have her very own family waiting for her on graduation day! If you are interested in adopting a Marley's Mutts please fill out an application at http://marleysmutts.org/adoptionprocess/
