Story
A woman stopped at our garage sale on the way to drop Addie off at the shelter in Carson City and my husbamd noticed her and said how beautifuk she was. the woman asked if we wanted her and after we got our landlords permission, she stayed with us, for 9 years. we would love to find a home for her with a big yard, an owner who will give her a lot of attention and affection. who will throw the ball or frisbee for her and take her on walks regularly. Addie is very loving, playful, funny and sensitive. we want her to be happy. Shes also very intelligent.

Story
Sweet, smart, and oh-so-cute, Sissy is the whole package! Sissy is a 2-year-old bundle of love who is eager to find her fur-ever family. She is a social girl who is quick to make herself comfy in your lap. She lives for attention and is happiest when she can be by your side. Sissy is fully grown and weighs around 17lbs. Sissy was found as a stray in a rural part of the county and brought to our local animal shelter. She was never claimed by an owner, so one of the shelter volunteers offered to foster her for us and she has been loving being in a foster home ever since. Sissy is a wonderful moderate-energy companion who has the energy to motivate you for daily walks but also values her cuddles on the couch. She walks well on a leash and is a polite girl around the house. She has learned that toys can be fun to chase and if she sits she can get a yummy treat. She would love a family where she can get lots of attention and enjoy her daily strolls around the neighborhood. Sissy has done well living with other small dogs but can be territorial of her people towards other dogs. She seems to do best with submissive male dogs. She could do well living with other dogs with proper supervision and management, but she also could thrive as an only dog. Sissy has done well with the cats in her foster home and could do well living with dog-savvy cats in her new home. Sissy could be a great companion for a family with kids 12 years or older. Sissy has been doing great with her housetraining in her foster home. She has also done well being crated overnight and when her foster parents aren't home. Sissy seems like she could do okay living in an apartment. Sissy is such an affectionate girl and she can't wait to be adopted. If you think she might be the pup for you, submit an adoption application today!   Sissy's adoption fee is $300.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website  (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. October 3, 2024, 4:46 pm
