Bruce is a fun, energetic and charming 7 yr. old, 22 lb. Basenji/Terrier Mix who loves a game of fetch and squeaky toys. He already knows sit, stay, crawl, and come. He is very smart and easy to train when motivated by a treat. Bruce is outgoing and friendly with people, except when he forgets that it isn't his job to guard the home from strangers. He is working with a trainer on that issue and making great progress. He is a volunteer favorite because of his quirky, fun personality. He would do best as the only dog in a fairly quiet adult home with dog experience. Bruce was adopted 3 yrs ago and brought back due to an unexpected change in his family's living situation. 🐾 COCO the Basenji Mix is looking for her new forever home. Coco is an incredibly sweet and loyal 2.5 year old gal. She enjoys humans and other dogs and gets along well with cats. This young lady loves to run and play at the beach or park and snuggle up on the couch or on your lap. She is very intelligent, gentle and joyfully curious as she loves to learn and aims to please. Coco knows her commands and is eager to learn more, and being very treat motivated, she will be easy to teach. She has been living at her trainer Nicole's home for a bit so she's been getting her training in daily. She is crate trained, house broken and travels well in the car. Coco walks great on a leash and would be great to have an owner who enjoys running and hiking. She truly needs a quiet home with a female owner as it seems she is most comfortable with women. Ideally this woman would work from home or is retired and has experience with rescue dogs as patience and understanding will be necessary in helping this pretty girl thrive. He came from a shelter they believed had been hit by a car he had a broken pelvis and injured leg, but we are fairly sure he was beaten. He was terrified of anything like a broom and pees and poops himself. He's getting better every day. He needs a quiet home, cats are okay, but no male dogs. He can be a sweet boy but wants to trust but we can see it in his eyes as he sizes up every situation. He loves playing with the female dogs in his foster home and can spend hours outside just running and playing. He weighs about 9 pounds, is microchipped and has been fully vaccinated. Neuter to be announced still recovering from a broken pelvis and injured leg. Please consider adopting a senior dog. They are passed over routinely in shelters and Chihuahua senior dogs who are black are then the number 2 breed most euthanized in shelters. Adopt don't shop! ##1371753##

❗Current location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ • Rescue Story: He was rescued from a high-kill shelter along with his brother in Jan 2023. While his lucky brother found his forever home soon after and has been happily living with his family, Saerom was relinquished twice by his first and second families unfortunately. His former families misunderstood his teething as biting and did not like his appearance. He may have been hurt by them, but is growing as a bright pup in his current foster for the past 10 months and has learned socialization to be ready to find his true forever family. We hope he won't get hurt by humans ever again! • 3 keywords: attached to his owner/ active/ smart • Affinity with - Dogs: Generally good around other dogs! He's been behaving at a dog swimming pool or a dog cafe. - Cats: He lived with a kitten once in the current foster home, and he ended up being sweet and taking care of it :) - Kids: When he was a puppy, he lived with two kids (one elementary schooler, one kindergartener) in his previous foster home and liked playing with them. • Housetrained: uses indoor pee-pads placed in a restroom! • Barks/Howls: Only barks at the doorbell sound. • Walking Manners: He tends to pull a little out of excitement at the beginning of a walk but paces with his walker later on. • Energy Level: mid-high since he is still young! • Appetite: He eats anything well! • Car Rides: He has felt slight car sickness for a long time over 20 minutes. (fine with subway) • Bathing/Teeth Brushing: Good with water itself, but not a fan of a dryer. / Likes doggy toothpaste! Meet Rocky! He's a sweet 8.5 year old Korean Jindo mix who loves attention. He loves to cuddle and be with his people. He's smart and food motivated to learn new things. His current foster puts him a sit/stay while he places his food down and then releases him to eat, which he does very well. He's also potty trained. When you talk to him he'll give you this funny look like he's trying to understand. He is ok around other dogs, until he gets impatient with them. This is very common for Jindos. He would do best in a house without other animals. His healthy recently took a turn and he can only use his back legs 5% of the time. He has seen a primary Vet, a Chiro, an internist and an Neuro and they're not sure of the cause. He is still very cognitive and fully aware of everything around him, his back legs just do not want to cooperate. He has a wheel chair which he is learning to use.
