Dorothy’s story is one of incredible strength and resilience. After being saved from a euthanasia, she experienced love and safety for the first time. Just a day after her rescue, Dorothy gave birth to 12 beautiful puppies over 20 exhausting hours. Sadly, two of her little ones didn’t survive, but the remaining ten are thriving, just like their brave mama. If you’re ready to open your heart and reserve one of her puppies, please contact Barbara to reserve a puppy today.  They will be available around 2/27/25 to take home.  There are 5 girls and 5 boys. If interested in reserving puppy for adoption contact Barbara Rescue Director at NorCal Freedom for Paws at (916) 582-2771.  NCFFP have lots of dogs that are in need of homes our rescue meets at Pet food Express from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. the third Saturday of each month at 2531 Fair oaks boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95825. January 21, 2025, 8:34 pm

Story
Louis is a 1.5 year old male neutered 50 lb Pittie/Basenji mix who needs a loving home! At 6 months old, he was surrendered to a local animal shelter where he was considered for euthanasia due to severe kennel stress. Lou was saved by a rescue and received training, but ended up in foster when his adoption fell through. He urgently needs stability and to find his “person” as we cannot foster him long-term. Louis is potty trained and crate trained. He’s playful, cuddly, and loves people. Plays very well with dogs and currently lives with 3 other dogs in foster. Rarely, he can react to certain dogs but only when very overstimulated. Does well with older kids but his energy could overwhelm young children. Previous Pittie or dog experience preferred. Up-to-date on all vaccinations and flea, tick, and heartworm medication. Lou is microchipped and ready to roll. Please message me for additional details if you are interested in meeting Lou!
