Story
Jackie came to the Sanctuary with several dogs who suddenly needed a place to land. Jackie is super friendly with people and dogs. She is a little shy at first, but before long she just wants to snuggle in close, smile and wag. Jackie would be a great family dog....she would love to go on runs or hikes, would love to watch a football game with you, play in the pool, or go to the beach! Jackie is ready for you....are you ready for her? Call the Sanctuary to learn more about her. (707) 459-4900.

Story
Meet our happy little Kit! This fun girl is enjoying life so much.  She lives wrestling and running all day with other dogs of all sizes and shapes.  She rides well in a car and after a day of fun and play, she enjoys snuggling under a blanket with you to relax.   Kit is completely potty trained, crate trained and would love to follow up with some basic obedience classes to bond with you if you’re interested.  Her new home would ideally have another young and fun pup to play with or am owner that will take her out regularly to dog parks for play dates.  This is her only non negotiable! Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Kit is $300. If you are interested in adopting Kit, please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area. Story
Louis is a 1.5 year old male neutered 50 lb Pittie/Basenji mix who needs a loving home! At 6 months old, he was surrendered to a local animal shelter where he was considered for euthanasia due to severe kennel stress. Lou was saved by a rescue and received training, but ended up in foster when his adoption fell through. He urgently needs stability and to find his “person” as we cannot foster him long-term. Louis is potty trained and crate trained. He’s playful, cuddly, and loves people. Plays very well with dogs and currently lives with 3 other dogs in foster. Rarely, he can react to certain dogs but only when very overstimulated. Does well with older kids but his energy could overwhelm young children. Previous Pittie or dog experience preferred. Up-to-date on all vaccinations and flea, tick, and heartworm medication. Lou is microchipped and ready to roll. Please message me for additional details if you are interested in meeting Lou!
