This beautiful redhead has the cutest ears! Lucia is approximately 1 and a half years old weighing 28 lbs. She is gregarious and friendly. Lucia and Sofia were left abandoned together near the SPCA PV sanctuary. We’d love to adopt them together, but we can’t hold them back from finding a home that loves them if that’s not possible. While at the shelter we can’t confirm if she’s house trained, but it seems she once had a home, so we think its likely that she is. Lucia is medium energy and lovely with people. She is good with dogs at the shelter, though barks if there is a barrier, which is not uncommon in shelter environments. Lucia was tested with cats, and at first was avoidant and then gently curious. She even let the cats hold her leash. Lucia is healthy, spayed and vaccinated. She is currently at the SPCA PV sanctuary in Mexico, and will be able to fly to Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton (possibly also Vancouver island). I have a bit of curiosity about the world and actively engage it. I love having other dogs around and love spending time in dog parks and trails.While walking with a co-worker during her volunteer time in Ghana, my rescuer noticed a puppy on the sidewalk, me. I was tiny with a phone charging cord tangled tightly on my neck. She untangled me and waited for me to try walking, but they quickly realized, I could not move my legs.Once they finished their tasks, they came back again and saw I was still there. They had hoped my momma would show up, but she never did. So I was helpless and alone. Being the loving heart she is, she took me home and contacted a vet. The vet suspected I had been hit by a car. Probably while following my mom in search of food. I was treated over the next few days and began to recover. Soon, I was playing with another puppy in the compound and even befriended the neighbor’s kittens. You'll find I am the sweetest, most affectionate little soul, always snuggling up and full of love, especially toward women, kids and other doggos who visit. I take my time to trust humans, but once I do, I become their best friend.After six months, my rescuer's assignment was over and she returned to Canada. She brought me to Canada as well. Pet culture is quite different in Ghana—us dogs rely on finding food and water on the streets, even if we have a place to sleep at night. I have become so accustomed to regular meals, care, and endless snuggles, I wouldn’t know how to survive on my own in the streets.My rescuer loves me deeply and would adopt me in a heartbeat, but her work doesn’t allow for this ability. Hence, the search for a safe and loving forever home where I can continue to thrive.Hoping you enjoy activities I can join in on, as I have puppy energy to burn. While a bit stubborn at times, I think this is my puppyness learning how to interact, as I love being near you too. I have a silly/goofy streak that comes out, which should make you laugh. I'm energetic and social and would love to have another doggo as my best friend in the house as I was always having a doggo figure around.  After getting to Vancouver, I've been living with an 8 year old dog, he is truly my brother, we go for big walks and spend time in dog parks almost every day. I have learned to be off leash in trails and dog parks. At first, I was growling at big unneutered males in the parks, but after getting nuetered myself, now I enjoy socializing, running and playing. I am very considerate and gentle with smaller dogs as well. The only time I growl is when I'm on a leash walking and a big unneutered dog comes along. My growlig has never turned into a bigger fight or anything, just mentioning my boundries. As far as other dogs, I love them and I have grown up with 2 kitten buddies too, so would love one as a sibling as well. I also have been around lots of kids in the community and enjoy them very much. So a home with 4 and/or 2 footed siblings would be my utopia. I had been skeptical of men I don't know getting close, however once I get used to them, I am okay. Now after getting neutured, my skepticism is fading bit by bit and I'm being okay with strangers petting me.I can only hope that someone will open their heart and home to a loving boy like me. **He is currently in Seattle** Mukgoo is about 5 years old. He was found near an army base in Korea and immigrated to America around the age of 1 on President’s Day of 2020. He is an incredibly smart and lovable dog. He is kind and loves people (loves dogs and people). He will eat almost anything (except veggies). He can be a jumper when he gets very excited. He prefers households with another dog and a big yard to run around in but it’s not a non-negotiable. He has always adjusted well to whatever the circumstance. Overall, he’s a good dog and he’s got a lot of love to give. I’m having to give him up due to being unable to raise him in my current life stage. In no way, this is due to any bad behaviors or anything. He’s a really kind-hearted and sweet dog. Likes - He loves playing fetch (quickest way to his heart), rolling in the grass, puppycinos, ice cream, snow, people, dogs - Historically has liked lamb, fish skin, salmon, bully sticks, dental sticks, sweet potato, etc. In general, he loves to eat~ - Very social and prefers to greet other dogs and people, including dog parks, doggy day cares Dislikes - He dislikes bath but who does - He doesn’t like being alone but can manage a few hours if needed - No longer is a fan of veggies - Fireworks and big noises Things to Watch out for - Throwing up: If you let him freely eat grass, he’ll throw up. When he feels stressed, he can react by throwing up. - He can be independent when he is fixated on things. Just be patient with him and he will come back to focus on you. He is a people pleaser. - He rarely barks. He may bark when other dogs bark but even that is rare. He is more of a whiner. If he needs to let you know something, he will whine. - Not a counter surfer but can be if you let him Commands He knows his basic commands (sit, down, hand, etc.) and is open to learning new ones as well. Potty He is used to peeing and pooing outside. Once you create a regular spot and time for him, it’s clockwork. Otherwise, just be aware when he whines that it may be time to go. - At a high level, he knows “go potty” and “go poo” as a sign to go to the bathroom - He will rarely go pee or poo inside the home. Once in a million tries, a thing like that can happen during the night but he’s really sorry when he does. Leash He has never been fully off-leash, only in areas that condone it (home, backyard, dog park, etc.). He is not one to go off-leash and run away. He’ll run around and try to have you play with him. Keep him on a short leash if you need to focus on walking as he can veer away due to his interest in sniffing. Once on a short leash, he’ll understand and walk along. However, give him time to sniff as he is very curious with smells. Sleep He can sleep together or on his own if you’re in a different room or floor. He is also loves to cuddle up as well. When there’s fireworks, it’s recommended you sleep where he sees you because he’s afraid of the loud sounds. Food He is on one meal a day. If you give him two meals a day, he may not eat the first meal. Snacks though he loves. He knows how to sit and wait for food. He is currently on Costco’s salmon and sweet potato meal.

Gets along well with other dogs and loves to lie down and play with his close friends! Meet White🧡 He spent his time at a dog slaughter house in South Korea, watching his friends being killed while fearing his turn comes soon. The slaughter house was shut down thanks to Adogs and he was rescued. * With People: Has a shy personality. With a bit of time, he accepts treats placed on the hand and follows people around! * With Dogs: Is a little indifferent towards other dogs. Is not the type to approach or to show interests in other dogs first. * Separation Anxiety: It is unknown since he is staying in a group at the Center. * Potty Training: Uses outdoor potty at the Center. * Walks: Likes going for walks. Pulls on the leash when he encounters other animals, so he’s undergoing training for this. Sometimes he gets surprised and barks when he sees large dogs. * Car Sickness: Has a mild car sickness, drooling a little and moving a while.
