Story
Bojangles came to 4Paws from a partner shelter in King George, VA when his owner was deployed. He is a big, beautiful, chatty boy who sounds like he is saying 'I love you' when he talks. He currently lives with multiple other cats and a small elderly dog but is not interested in interacting with them. He tolerates them but tends to get annoyed when they get into his personal space. His foster mom believes he will be happiest as the only cat in the home with a loving human to dote on him. He is friendly and sweet when he wants attention and he WILL let you know he wants attention! He can be picked up, brushed, and pet for short periods and then will let you know when he is done. He is not a lap cat but when he's feeling it, he can rub up against you or even possibly sit next to you in a chair. He loves having people's attention, even if he doesn't always love to be touched. He is not particularly interested in toys or playing but does love to look out the window and scratch up cardboard or sisal rope scratchers. He enjoys sleeping in a high cat tower and lord over everyone, like the regal animal he is. He will need an experienced cat owner who will allow extra patience and time for him to relax and acclimate to a new environment. He would not do well with young children or active dogs. He would do great as a single cat in a calm and loving home that understands he has his own boundaries and doesn't mind his chatter! Bojangles' estimated birthdate is January 2013. He is neutered, current on his vaccines, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and has been microchipped. ******** Please note: 4Paws will only consider local adoptions (Northern VA / DC / MD metropolitan area) 4Paws does not adopt to students All kittens under 6mos of age must be adopted into a home that already has another young cat/kitten; otherwise, must be adopted in pairs with a littermate
