Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.North Texas Cat Rescue P.O Box 1504 McKinney, TX 75070 214.454.9395 www.northtexascatrescue.com Crystal is a beautiful Blue Point Applehead Siamese, which means her head is round vs what people think of as a "Siamese cat". Crystal is very playful and enjoys all kinds of toys. She is SUPER affectionate and loves human attention. She enjoys being petted and likes being held. She would LOVE a forever home with a person who is home all day. She thrives with love and attention, and has really been enjoying helping her foster mom work from home. Crystal is blind in one eye and she was likely born that way. It doesn't impact her quality of life and there's nothing medically that needs to be done. Crystal does have a history of being in a multi-cat home; however, we do believe she would love to be an only kitty and have all the attention lavished upon her. Crystal ended up in rescue because her owner passed away so she's had a LOT of change in her life lately! Crystal is FIV+. If you're not familiar with FIV, it stands for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). It is a virus that is not transmittable to other species and only spread from cat-to-cat via blood - so deep bite wounds. It does not negatively affect a cat's life or lifespan, nor does it impact their quality of life. It's really important that if an FIV+ cat shows signs of illness, they are taken to the vet immediately as they can take a bit longer to recover. Additionally, when FIV+ cats are taken for yearly check-ups at the vet, it’s important that their teeth are also checked as some FIV+ cats can have above average dental disease. Story
Tira is just under 3 years old, gets along great with us, our kids, our other cat, and our birds, but she will not get along with the dog. We have tried separating their space, giving them as much room away from each other as possible, but if she feels like the dog has been in her space, she will act out. This can be up to the rare case of using the bathroom outside the litter box or general misbehaving, like knocking things off the counter directly above the dog bed, and that is the reason we are looking to rehome her. She is very sweet and snuggly and great with our kids. Most of the time, she is either playing with one of her many toys or sleeping as cats do. We are sad to make the decision to let her go, but when she has decided that the dog is too much for her by existing, she seems very stressed, and we do not want that for any of the animals.

Story
Meet Frankie! This adorable, spirited girl is looking for her forever home and is ready to bring lots of personality and love into your life. Frankie is a big, sweet chunk of joy who thrives as an only kitty, and she’s eager to be the queen of her castle. While her previous home had to let her go due to allergies, Frankie is now searching for a family that understands her unique needs.Frankie does well with most dogs, as long as they respect her space, but she’s definitely not a fan of other cats—she wants all your attention to herself! She can be a little shy at first and takes her time adjusting to new people or changes in her environment, but once she settles in, she’ll be your best friend. Frankie is affectionate, loves being in the same room as her humans, and will shower you with cuddles and attention. She’ll let you know exactly what she wants with her sweet meows—whether it’s for more love, food, or a cozy spot to nap!Frankie would thrive in an active home with adults or older children who can give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable. She does best in a calm, secure environment and can be a bit stressed in high-energy situations, so she’s not the best fit for young kids. Frankie is a cat that will bond deeply with her humans and, in return, offer plenty of snuggles and affection. With a bit of patience and experience handling a cat with a strong personality, you’ll see the loving, loyal companion that Frankie can be.Plus, Frankie is no slouch when it comes to guarding her territory—she’ll let you know if there’s an intruder (no joke!). If you`re looking for a fun, feisty, and devoted cat to call your own, Frankie might just be the perfect fit. Could you be the one to give her a loving home where she can truly thrive?
