The Barn Cat Program provides a humane option for cats who are unsocialized and would not do well in an adoptive home. Although Barn Cats may not want your love and affection right away, they will quickly start to associate you as their caregiver, food source and develop a bond with you.Barn Cats:- help with pest control- prevent other cats from coming onto your property- are spayed/neutered- are vaccinated, dewormed and flea treatedIf you are interested in adopting Dave, please stop by WVHS during adoption hours or call 208-455-5920. Story
Penn and Teller were rescued from a feral cat population, abandoned, sick, andhungry. Named after the famous magicians Penn and Teller for their magical illusionsof raccoons that have gotten into chocolate syrup, they have fully embraced thehouse cat lifestyle! Teller is smaller and was weaker when they were rescued andrelies on Penn for guidance and comfort, although he is not at all timid. Penn is agood big brother and watches out for Teller. He is fascinated by screens and watchescomputer cursors and TVs (he has “liked” reels on my phone with his paws, sobeware!). Both love attention and to play and are not shy with strangers. They enjoyinteractive play time with people, and they sleep on the bed at night, waking us upeach morning with a lot of purring and nose bumps. Penn and Teller really enjoy laptime and any other opportunity to be pet. These kittens had ear mites and infections when they were rescued and couldn’thear. They can hear now but Teller has not learned yet how to meow, and Penn’smeow is very quiet. They rely upon each other a lot and would prefer that theyadopted together. Teller would be lost without Penn. These little racoon impersonators have been fostered with a large, geriatric dog andour resident cats, and had no difficulties adapting to the menagerie. They are litter-box trained (Litter Robot) and will be great additions to a quieter family or one with alittle older children, in a home equipped with lots of toys and people to play with, and ample time to devote to these sweet and unique kitties. To meet Penn and Teller, please reach out to foster, Pam, at hess2589@gmail.com.
