Story
Sir Snowball Swankypants is one sophisticated fella. He is obviously ABSOLUTELY HANDSOME but he packs a ton of personality bundled up in that floofy fur coat of his. Swanky, as his friends call him, has been through quite a big change recently as his owner, the love of his life, had to ask our rescue to find him a new home as she was suffering with dementia. Swanky was very attached to his person and quite sad when he came to his foster home, but with time and patience, he's shown us his true personality which is a super sweet and silly guy. He is such a love bug and enjoys head boops to get your attention for lots and lots of pets. He doesn't mind being picked up and held like a teddy bear once he gets to know you, and he makes adorable air biscuits, stretching his long front legs out and kneading the air with happiness. Swanky is a playful 8 year old boy and enjoys all of his toys, especially wand toys he can chase and small balls or mice to bat around. He's recently started to join his foster family at the foot of the bed for night time cuddling, and boy does he have a purr motor on him! We know Swankypants is going to take some time to adjust in a new environment all over again and he will need a cat experienced, patient, and understanding family to give him space to decompress. He can get overstimulated during this adjustment period and we will want to ensure that his new family is absolutely ready to let him settle in, not rushing him or giving up quickly. Swankypants has never lived with other animals but in his foster home he is curious and non-reactive to other adult cats. We do not believe he will like dogs and think a quiet home without small children is best. This amazing boy is so deserving of a wonderful forever home to help him continue healing his broken heart!

Story
Bojangles came to 4Paws from a partner shelter in King George, VA when his owner was deployed. He is a big, beautiful, chatty boy who sounds like he is saying 'I love you' when he talks. He currently lives with multiple other cats and a small elderly dog but is not interested in interacting with them. He tolerates them but tends to get annoyed when they get into his personal space. His foster mom believes he will be happiest as the only cat in the home with a loving human to dote on him. He is friendly and sweet when he wants attention and he WILL let you know he wants attention! He can be picked up, brushed, and pet for short periods and then will let you know when he is done. He is not a lap cat but when he's feeling it, he can rub up against you or even possibly sit next to you in a chair. He loves having people's attention, even if he doesn't always love to be touched. He is not particularly interested in toys or playing but does love to look out the window and scratch up cardboard or sisal rope scratchers. He enjoys sleeping in a high cat tower and lord over everyone, like the regal animal he is. He will need an experienced cat owner who will allow extra patience and time for him to relax and acclimate to a new environment. He would not do well with young children or active dogs. He would do great as a single cat in a calm and loving home that understands he has his own boundaries and doesn't mind his chatter! Bojangles' estimated birthdate is January 2013. He is neutered, current on his vaccines, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and has been microchipped.

Story
We found this sweet and affectionate cat on the streets and believe he was abandoned. He’s between 2-4 and has received his vaccines and up to date bloodwork. He’s very friendly, not very vocal, and loves to cuddle in laps. We would love to keep him but he would do better in home as a single cat as our two cats have been stressing him out.

Story
Hi everyone, my name is Nilla Blue and I almost look like a flame point Siamese because of my beautiful cream colored coat with just a tinge of some gray. Of course my eyes are said to be some of the prettiest blue green eyes that people have ever seen. I use them everyday to sit in a window seal and look at the world that is going by. I love to ride in a car and look out the window as well because my favorite thing is to see what is going on outside in the beautiful big world that I live in. I have raised my sweet little kittens, both are boys, and now it is my turn to fly away to my own life. I have been a good mom and I have weathered some very early tough times but I am a survivor and a loving girl. I am looking for the right lap and of course the sunniest windows to soak up the sun. So if you are the the person who needs a best friend who is a great listener… here I am … please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 31, 2024, 2:39 pm
