She loves to cuddle & make biscuits. She has lumbosacral spondylosis , a condition where extra bone has formed between her last lumbar vertebra and her sacrum. Cirri may experience periods of sensitivity (hyperesthesia) & pain which untreated in the past caused her to sometimes go outside the litter box. With her new diagnosis, Cirri’s veterinary team has implemented a supportive care plan, and she is already showing positive progress, including consistent litter box use. Special Care Needs Pain management: Cirri receives gabapentin twice daily , mixed into her wet food, to help manage chronic pain related to her spinal condition. She eats it well when given this way. Litter box setup: Due to pain and sensitivity, Cirri does best with a litter box lined with puppy pads , which encourages her to use a softer surface that’s more comfortable for her. Easy-to-clean location: Her foster has found success placing the litter box in the bathtub , making clean-up easier and helping manage accidents while keeping Cirri comfortable. Cirri thrives in a calm, predictable environment and would be happiest in a quiet home with someone who understands her needs and is willing to continue her care routine. Her care needs are manageable and become second nature with consistency and understanding.
