Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Friends and supporters of Animal Helper:
A fellow rescuer is in need of our help.
Recently, a long time rescuer and friend of Animal Helper was diagnosed with late stage ovarian cancer. She has undergone chemo and is determined to do whatever it takes to fight this disease. She maintains a positive attitude about her circumstances, but wants to plan ahead for her personal pets and fosters.
With that in mind, she's made the difficult decision to re-home some of her pets and to ensure that the cats she rescued before her diagnosis get adopted as soon as possible.
Animal Helper has offered to post photos and bios of the cats now available for adoption. Others will follow as needed. AH will assist with adoption applications, so we ask all of you to take a look at these beautiful cats and to share their pics and stories so that we might find them a wonderful new home.
For more information or to meet these sweet cats, please contact Animal Helper at the below address.. There is a $25.00 adoption fee to cover a very small portion of the foster care and vet care.
Email us at animalhelperneworleans@gmail.com for an adoption application!!
Caymen is an all black kitten, approximately 7 months old. He has been neutered and received his rabies vaccine. He has also been tested for FIV and FeLV (both negative!). He also recently received a flea treatment. He is a bit shy with strangers at first encounter, but I think he's just playing hard to get! Once he knows you, there's no end to the love you'll get from him!
When he cuddles with you he is a purring machine! He loves to play with toys, planning his pounces very carefully when playing with the laser pointer. Although he normally eats dry food he absolutely loves getting any sort of food treat - wet food, fish flakes or kitty treats.
The average life expectancy for an indoor cat is around 16 years. Please only consider adopting a cat if you are able to make that commitment. It is important that he is an indoor cat only. You should also be prepared for adoption by having a litter box, litter, cat food, flea prevention medication, toys and a carrier to take the cat home in.
