Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Daisy is a 4 year old, 7 pound red smooth dachshund. Sweet Daisy was rescued by a wonderful young couple who carefully searched for a good rescue group to help this little dog. We were glad we had room for this little one!
Daisy is heartworm positive, which means she will be with our group for several months before she can be adopted. She required immediate surgery when she arrived, which had to be done despite the heartworm status. Thankfully, she came through beautifully, and is recovering from that. Daisy will begin heartworm treatment the first week of January and we anticipate (barring any complications) that she should be ready to go to a new home around March 1st.
Daisy is just as cute and personable as her wonderful photographs show. She gets along with other dogs, but because of her small size will need to go to a home with adults only, or a home with adults and teenagers. She would be a perfect dog for full-time RV'ers or people that like to travel with their dog. If you are interested in adopting Daisy, you can request an application for her starting in January 2008. We will post regular updates on Daisy, so please check back to see how she is doing!
