Breed/Age: Hershey is a 10 month old male Chocolate Lab
Size: Hershey weighs about 52 pounds.

Foster Family Observations:
Hershey was found by one of our volunteers as a stray. We have searched for his family for weeks and nobody has come forward, but we suspect he might not have had the best of owners before. He has what appears to be an old wound from a tie out rubbing the skin off a portion of his neck. He doesn’t let that phase him though – he’s one of the happiest dogs you’ll meet!
Hershey is a happy guy and a sweet boy that loves to be with his people. He has lots of energy and loves to play outside with his foster family and dog sisters. He walks great on a leash and is picking up commands quickly. He sits politely before coming out of his crate and while waiting for his dinner bowl to be served. He also sits patiently while at an open door until he gets an “ok” to go outside. Hershey shows no aggression at all towards food, toys, dogs or people.

He is puppy-like and can get a little over-excited with his foster dog sisters but is not aggressive at all and is learning to tone it down when he is told. He is crate trained and doesn’t fuss much at all when his foster family leaves for work or at night. He LOVES the stuffed Kong treat he gets when his foster family has to be gone for a few hours.
