Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Darla is most likely a Great Pyrenees mix or some other Livestock Guarding Dog Mix. She is probably between 2-3 years old and is spayed, heartworm tested, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped.
Darla is an absolute sweety pie and although she is a little unsure of herself, she is welcoming and lovely and kind with adults, kids and other dogs, both males and females. She was tested with kitties while on leash and just ignores them, but does not live with a kitty in her foster home. She was most likely an outdoor dog before a good samaritan found her in the middle of nowhere but she now appreciates her doggy pillows and the nice warm house. She is housebroken and will hold it for hours in the house or in her dog run. Darla also knows how to use a doggy door, but is still learning some basic house manners. She is getting used to walking on a leash and going for car rides.
Darla needs a yard with at least a 5 ft fence to play and relax in. She really enjoys her outdoor time and she loves rolling in the grass and laying in the sun. She is looking for an owner that will teach her manners in the house and how to be a good and well loved member of a family. She is not ready to be left in the house unattended yet and is kept in a dog run with a dog house while her owners are out of the house. She is fine with that.
Darla is a really wonderful dog that has just touched the surface of her potential. She can become so much more with the right family.
Her adoption fee is $200 plus a $17.99 microchip registration fee.
