When meeting Samantha it is hard to imagine feeling sorry for her. When you hear how she has been shuffled around- through no fault of her own- it is a different story. She is the girl that shows up early to the party to help set up and stays until the end to clean up and leave....ALONE. Samantha is a small girl (about 15lbs), and about 2 years old. She is forever attentive. She is great with other dogs. She was originally given (after being 'found') as a gift to someone who kept her for a while and then decided he 'didn't want a dog' and was then passed to a neighbor. The neighbor was told Samantha was spayed...anything but, she was pregnant by the roaming neighborhood Chi. Her sweet new temporary mother promised to see Samantha through her pregnancy and enlisted our help after Sammy gave birth to her pups. As Samantha's foster mother is in a wheelchair, this sweet dog became her lap buddy. Now that she is with us and her pups are being adopted out, she remains happy but aware of her losses. Actually, we have never seen a dog waiting so patiently for the lap that she will be able to call their own....finally and permanently..
