My basic info
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
August 14, 2013: Happy Trails is assisting a vet clinic in Ashtabula County, Ohio, to rehome this rescued pot belly. Her name is Lakota for “talks too much”. What a peculiar name for such a sweet and social piggy. She has the potential to become a great house pet. An unknown person left this gal on a resident's porch in a box. Attached to this box was a note that said “Heard you find homes for pets…Please help the pig.” That resident may in fact have been an animal lover but we should assume that does not mean to drop off a pot bellied pig on her doorstep. She lives in a Duplex apartment and was unable to keep the pig. Our friends at the vet clinic called on us at HTFAS to assist in finding a home for Teetonka who currently must reside in a dog kennel at the clinic. This cute, pink, baby-girl is special needs and will need a dedicated owner. She does not have cloven hooves like pigs normally do, but rather she has a single hoof like a horse. The vet is concerned she just might have issues walking as she continues to grow and get older, and this may present health issues for her, including early arthritis. She is SO sweet though, that we are hoping to find someone who accepts her in spite of her “special needs”. Her single hoof makes her different from other pigs – her appearance is not the same. But just because she has a physical deformity does not meant she cannot have a good quality of life. - See more at: http://happytrailsfarm.org/category/adopt-sponsor/piggies/#sthash.TIdWKSUF.dpuf
