My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ahote is a stunning little man! He was rescued in July 2013 in cooperation with the Greater Akron Humane Society. Him and an elderly mare (Paix) were locked in their stalls for at least two years. There was no fencing on the property and no hay, grain or bedding. They were both unbearably thin, caked in manure and had terrible hooves. Paix had to be euthanized due to health issues on top of these problems. Ahote came in as a stallion (though you would never guess it with his wonderful demeanor!) and is now gelded. He is extremely calm and quiet. He is not broke, so he requires a more experienced rider or a trainer to help teach him. He is a fast learner and once he is trained, we believe he would make a good beginner or kids horse.
